View Full Version : Xbox Live has a problem with the word 'Tomb Raider'

I wanted to enter the simple name, "Tomb Raider" for my motto. But it tells me Please enter an appropriate motto. I then decided to make a custom map for Halo..named it "Tomb Raider" That's not appropriate and they will replace it with Blah. I'm just so confused as to why Tomb Raider is a bad name? Last time I checked Tomb wasn't a swear nor was Raider :rolleyes:

actually, tomb raider could be used in an inappropriate or dirty manner (:mis:) ..... but I highly doubt this is the reason it's not aloud.

maybe Tomb Raider offends Halo? :p

Copyright for what? It's not about copyright it only blurs it out if its swears are anything related to that..that's why I'm so confused. I might drop an email to microsoft just out of curiosity.

Hmm have you tried putting tomb _____ (insert word) or (insert word) _______ Raider, it says it contains a word that isn't allowed. I wonder which it is. :confused:

Just tried it. Doesn't let me either xD

I noticed what doesn't allow is the word "Tomb", there's no problem with "Raider" however.

Same with CoD4 clan tags. You can't have the obvious things like swear words, but you also can't have "GOP". GOP is an acronym for the Grand Old Party, which is another name for the American Republican party. You can have "DEM" though. The stupid thing is that you can have Nazi or KKK in your clan tag. O.o
