Issues on Running AOD! + TR3!

I've had issues on working this game before, normally it would work first time, then when I would run it the second time this message would pop up :(

I have used the TR vista update (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/cgi-bin/downloads2/dl.pl?fx_vista_trupdate) for this game, always do for the classic TR's ;) But now when I reinstalled it today it mucked up again :( So bloody annoying :( I've also had some issues on TR3, with the usual vista Microsoft works message coming up, upon running the game :(

Update your built-in Intel GMA 950 video adapter drivers from www.intel.com or www.support.dell.com.

1. Have you performed the Full install of AOD. If not, reinstall in Full mode to read all data from HDD.

2. Unplug/disable unnecessary USB devices: camera, scanner, etc.

3. Run AOD Launcher > Settings and press FF button here:

Yep disabled all devices and everything etc... updated my drivers. But the FF is grayed out :( So cannot activate it :( I also re-installed AOD in full just in case, and updated that again ;)

Yep and all the FMV's don't visually appear, just hear the audio :( Well I'm certain it's all, as the Core Logo never appeared nor the Eidos, nor the Lara + Voncroy argument. (Great now Windows Explorer stopped working and had to restart itself! :() *sighs* When will there be a computer without any faults!? I can play the game fine and smoothly though ;)

2 things:

A. Try: Make sure that in your game settings, the second screen (graphics options) in the OPTIONS box has FMV, Overlay Mixer and Texture Renderer TICKED and that everything else is unticked.

B: Run ARDiag.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/ardiag.exe) and post the report.

4. Sorry for that, but didn't you know you can get your own free EscondeR robot? Designed to work in homes and goes round fixing all technical issues. I got one, and helped me fix my gaydar :D (Turned out my fridge, modem, microwave, shredder, burglar alarm other things to, was interfering with it. So set my gaydar at a different frequency ;)) Though cannot fix any issues to with computers themselves meaning laptops and PCs :( Which explains why it's worse then you ;) Robots aren't as supreme as humans :tmb:

1. Right click AVG icon in system tray area, select Properties (Settings/Configure/whatever) :) choose Exclusions/Trusted applications in the left area and add the whole AOD folder to the list of folders/files that are skipped on scan.

2. You must have Start > Programs > K-Lite Codec Pack folder in your Start menu. Look for Configuration shortcut there. OR reinstall K-Lite with custom settings and untick Haali everywhere.

AVG is a bad thing now that it has expanded into the bloated monster of 8.0. turn it OFF if you want to try to run compllicated programs with challenges. It is very hard to get rid of too btw, parts will hide in your system causing problems even after a full uninstall. Try PC Tools instead, and it does now give false positives for main game exe.s as well. just a word shared from another raider.

and i agree EscondeR is one of the great wonders of our TR world and i am very grateful for the wonderful help we recieve.

AH BABE!!! It works now, found the list of allowing and trusting Apps in AVG!!! Included The TR:AOD "Launcher.exe" in the list and... NOW WORKS BABE!! :yah: :D
