I said her via Webdings. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I know her 8 years ago (sorry for the english), but when in 6th I went to another school. A (supposedly) friend dates now with her. I'm pretty introvert, anyway, and I told her just this week.

Hope you understand!!

Just be honest. And if it doesn't work out, you won't be looking back wishing you had tried. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Hi tlr, Elen.

Great movie. I'm still mopping up all the blood that leaked out of the television. Lots of good fighting scenes with a nice sense of humour. Classic Tarantino...... :D

Yup. I do the same. Watched The Matrix trilogy on DVD and still waiting for Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King to release on DVD. Then I'll prob. watch the Fellowship and Two Towers again before I watch Return Of The King. Still prefer the books tho...

Seen all the movies at the cinema and have the DVD's (just waiting for the last one). Not that I am a fan though...............

Haven't read The Silmarilion yet because I understood it to be more of a history lesson about Middle Earth rather than Tolkien's story-telling genius. The Hobbit was also outstanding. But LOTR... wow! Best books I've ever read, with Alex Garland's The Beach coming in a very close second.

Yup. I know where you're coming from. I had mapped out Middle Earth and its occupants in my mind with such clarity that I feared the movies would impose themselves on me. But that just didn't happen. In my mind, there is my Middle Earth (from reading the books) and then Jackson's Middle Earth (the movies) - both exist as clear as day. Jackson did take some liberties with the text... but he did a good job overall. Still... his vision won't dampen the potency of my own take from reading the books. He just doesn't come close.

Simulation

Yeah, the Silmarilion covers the founding of the world by the Gods and goes through the 1st and 2nd ages. LOTR is set in the 3rd and Aragon becoming King is the start of the 4th.

It is a really intesting book that fills in all the background information. Yes, it is difficult to get into, but is still a great read.

Robbo,

Do go and see the films. They are excellent. Just treat them as a seperate interpretation of the books. However, Peter Jackson has done a wonderful job of bringing Middle earth to life.
