Is there something wrong with my PS3?

Whenever I switch it on and select my account, it doesn't come up with the disc icon and the game name next to it in the menu, even though I have a game in it. To get it, I have to take the disc out and put it back in, again.

Is that normal or is there something wrong? :o

im not sure, the blu ray drive may be faulty, does it read the disc ok when you eject it and put it back in again?

Anyway that sucks. Only got it about a month ago. Can't imagine what the hell could have happened to it.

Consider using Laser Lens Cleaning CD also.

Check the options menus- I think that there is an option for "autoplay". Something may have been changed by accident.
