How do you extract the sounds from aod and from the cutscenes

Well, you'll need a program called AWD2WAV. Wherever you find it, it should have correct documentation ;)
Speaking of which, Does anyone know how I could extract sounds/music from the PS2 version? I've got the Japanese version and I want her voices :p They are AWD format but I cant seem to extract anything.

Hmm thats odd. I cant find it either. Neither on my PC or on the net..hmm maybe someone could provide a link.
If PC cant read PS2 disks, then how did I find out that the audio files ARE in AWD format :p You can view files which are on your PS2 CD's on your PC.

PS2 discs read fine on the PC, l re-encoded the PSS format making of video a few years ago. Unfortunately as far as l know there are no AOD specific tools around for the PS2, since it was the only game that used that engine, some of the PC ones might work though.

Yeah, I used the PSS converter also to get the Making of videos :p
I'm just curious on why it doesnt work. Both PC and PS2 audio of the game are both in AWD Format  Oh well.
Perhaps your disc is different, the only awd file my PS2 game has is for the credits, presumably it is encoded so the PS2 can read it and might not be the same as the PC awd files. Also the PC ones are compressed as clz files the the one audio file on the PS2 disc is not, but that should not make any difference the AWD2WAV tool works on both. Presumably all the PS2 audio is in the GMX files.

Hmm yeah I just noticed that the credits are the only ones there. Oh well. Maybe a tool will come one day so I can extract the audio hehe.
This is a link I found after a few minutes of searching on Google:

I can't test it though because I don't have TR:AOD.

It will only work on the PC version though, l already tried it on the one awd file the PS2 game has it gives an error when trying to read the file.
It's simple, download the demo and extract the sound.

l have never seen a demo of AOD for the PS2, where exactly could it be found? And unless it is in Japanese it would be no good to mizuno_suisei, who wants to extract the Japanese sound files.
If you meant the tool the awd2wav tool has been used many times to extract the sound from the PC version, and we have already worked out it does not work on the PS2 audio.
Not exactly the PS2 demo (I don't know if there's even one) but the PC demo, it should be easier to extract it from the PC demo. But I don't know if it has Japanese audio, so I don't know if this would work.
