I've had it before and got rid of it but I can't remember how. Does anyone else know? The page appears after you've upgraded Explorer so you can apply your settings. It tells me it can't save my settings sucessfully and the next time I use Explorer the page is there again, every time.:hea: It's also affecting the way Explorer works, presumably because I can't apply my settings.
Thanks,
Croft.

You do not actually state which version of IE your have upgraded to, so I would assume it is IE7.
Try uninstalling IE7 from "add or remove programs" in Control panel first, to get you back to your previous version.
You might want to reboot your computer next.
Then use the Windows update site ( www.update.microsoft.com ) to re-install it.
This sounds like the easiest, least technical way to try first ;)
I've had it before and got rid of it but I can't remember how.
Maybe try the above with your firewall disabled for a while.

It's Explorer 9 that I've updated to. I've had a look at the Microsoft site but maybe I was looking in the wrong place;) I'll use the link and see what I can find.
Thanks,
Croft.

I've checked and it is Explorer 7. I still can't get rid of the page (tried several different methods) so I've now installed Firefox. So far so good.:)
Thanks for the help everyone,
Croft.
If I understood you properly, you were to choose the default search provider and save settings before using IE7. So the page will appear untill you choose :)
