I know this thread the kind of random, but 'favorite-threads' are so fun!

So, who's your favorite girl group, of the 50's and 60's?

The Ronettes - street-wise attitude combined with Spector's Wall of Sound production wins it hands down for me :tmb:

Second are the Supremes :)

This video is kinda dumb, just because it's Darlene Love's voice, but another chick singing. The Crystals had the most confusing cast of members, since Phil Spector kept adding and removing girls from the group. I don't know the exact reason why he were allowed to do that. In other groups, the girls made decisions for themselves. (By the way, Phil Spector produced for The Crystals, The Ronettes, The Blossoms and The Paris Sisters.)

Have you ever heard The Shangri-Las? They had a real street attitude.
