A six feet snake has been found in the toilet bowl of a 10th floor flat in Australia.

It's believed the black-headed python had been living in the plumbing of the Darwin building for some time.

Snake expert Chris Peberdy rescued it after the tenants of the apartment got the shock of their lives, the Northern Territory News reports.

"When I saw it I was pretty shocked," Mr Peberdy said.

"It's one thing in the Territory to have a green frog in the toilet ... but not a six-foot python."

"It would certainly scare you if it came up from the depths of the toilet."

Mr Peberdy said there were no windows or other spaces the snake - which is "as thick as someone's wrist" - could have gotten into the bathroom.

"There is no possible other way it could have got there than through the toilet," Mr Peberdy said.

OMG!!!!!! This is so freaky! I came across this in a blog and when I Googled it some sites said it happened in India, not sure about the correct place., if anyone can clarify it, it would be great. But anyway in whichever place... I can't even imagine how scared I would be if I saw that in my toilet.....

I guess it's the reptile-equivelent of finding a spider in your shoe!

Plus - I laughed at this:

Snakes in a Lav. The highly anticipated sequel to TRF's Phone in a Poo.

That's really creepy, but awesome all the same. :D

When I was little I had a friend who was afraid to flush the toilet because he thought Chuckie was going to come out and kill him. :p

neato burrito!!
I used to have these weird thoughts when I was a kid about a snake coming through the hole in the toilet while I was taking a pooper and it would bite me in the bum.:p

But I figured the snake would drown in the plumbing so I soon dismissed the idea. seems I was wrong :yik:

My god, it's just a snake. A non-venomous one at that. It's a small python, nothing to be afraid of. IMO. I've heard cases of small alligators showing up in toilets too.

Of course I would be shocked since it's a rare happening, but gee, the poor thing only wanted to get out of there. I swear, if they harmed it, *curses*... but most likely they didn't since this is a country that worships these creatures. I feel really bad for it. It's soooo beautiful!

And since this took place in India, I would just be happy it wasn't a Cobra. :cln:
