Evening guys,

So tomorrow I have show and tell to do in front of my class. The title must be business related and within 2 minutes time, and we must bring an exhibit to show to everyone. Problem is I don't have any idea what to do. :o

The instructor gave us a basic idea of how it must be. He gave us an example by using his book as an exhibit, telling us how to find the book that suits your need; for instance a leadership book.

5 steps to find the book that suits you:

1. Look at the cover.
2. Look at the author's name.
3. Read the synopsis at the back.
4. Open up the index and skim through it
5. Choose one of the index title, and read the paragraph of that section. If it's too complicated or mixed up, it's not for you. Choose the one that suits your need.

It may look simple, but the way he presents it is very convincing and mesmerising, I should add.

I really want to do a good job on this and leave a good impression on people. Can you peeps help me out?
I'm thinking of how to present yourself to clients, how to make good first impression,etc...Ideas are very much appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!
Sharky.

A good one is Michael Porter's Competitive Strategy (http://www.amazon.com/Competitive-Strategy-Techniques-Industries-Competitors/dp/0684841487/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1234785654&sr=8-1).

This is a huge book, but for 2 minutes time the first chapter will do. It tells about Porter's five forces analysis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porter_five_forces_analysis): things that play a role to decide on a business strategy in the free market.
