Hey Dusan, I have been getting bugs with the new version of XNALara.:o
First is this:

When I try to add the metallic effect on this model, the buckle looks "cracked" and full of... white thingys.

And the second:

Is this lighting problem. Lara has specular maps on her skin, but it shouldn't be SO shiny, and her lips won't get glossy unless I turn on the Light 2, but when I do all of her skin looks like that (didn't get this on the earlier versions).

As for the buckle, it doesn't react to the first two lights, only to the third one. And if its on the standart lighting parameters, it will get all white and such. :confused:

^^ I think the spec map problem is just because you either set it too high, or your spec is too light in general.
I always use a value of 0.8 with a spec map that is nearly white on the lips while the rest of it is like black to medium grey.

It looks cool, but I'd recommend two things:

1: Save the images from XNALara in a higher resolution, then you can resize it with Photoshop. If you do this the characters will have a much smoother edge.

Well okay..haven't tried the new version yet.

@daventry: The Combine Assassin, also known as Female Assassin or simply Assassin, is a transhuman enemy cut from Half-Life 2, the successor of Half-Life’s female assassin and a predecessor of the Overwatch Elite, who inherited her helmet. She's totally hot right? :cln:

The Combine Assassin is mostly a slimmer and female version of the Overwatch Elite, with an almost identical helmet.

She uses two automatic pistols (and originally some kind of rifle), and a variety of melee attacks. She is shown to be a quick and resourceful enemy, moving swiftly and performing flips, rolls, and other movements. She also wears heel springs, recycled as the Advanced Knee Replacement for Chell in Portal, that improves her movements and speed. The armor and padding are almost completely absent, allowing the assassin to move quickly. When she dies, the light on her helmet slowly goes off.

So, people want her?

I hope you're just referring to a nude Lara model being released on here. If you're talking about a nude Lara model being released for XNA all together then, that's very extreme. For starters, none of us use this program for pornographic pictures, we use it for art, and it's not like we're displaying any part of Lara's vagina or breasts on this forum, it's all covered. So, if you're talking about a ban for nude Lara all together, then just think about it. It's really pathetic...

I thinks, a static cube mapping also works for not-so powerful computer and is the better choice. ;)

Metallic ist the shading effect ;) and such are shadeless.

I fixed it with photoshop but when I tried to save it, I couldn't save it on jpg or JPEG file so I saved it on PSD.Then I could change it into jpg file in UBUNTU but there was a problem-I don't know excatcly what and that couldn't happen.And it doesn't happen only with this image!!!

Update: version 9.5.5

- new mesh group #27: metallic shader which supports transparency

- the "random" dark/bright pixels in the reflection image can be removed by disabling mipmaps (automatically generated low resolution versions of the environment texture), but then the reflection image looks very aliased (pixelated/noisy) * -- so I added a new menu option "Use alternative reflection" which toggles a less accurate, yet anti-aliased AND artefact-free metallic shader; so you can choose whichever of the two possible behaviors of the metallic shader you prefer. Note that if you toggle that option, you need to reload the scene (textures) for the effect to be fully applied.

- the recent problem (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showpost.php?p=5256179&postcount=51068) concerning the parsing of generic item files should be solved now. I didn't have the time to check it myself, though....


*) Edit: Note that you can compensate for this aliased look by rendering the image in higher resolution (200% for example) and then scaling the image down in Photoshop etc.

@Mytly : it looks amazing, the only tips i could add is to blend the colors using color sliders, i use gimp, and it can add atmosphere to the image, a basic shadow would be great, again can be done in gimp , over all, it's a lovely image, i like it

You need nothing from the utils folder. The programs TRLMeshCov.exe and MeshBinToAscii.exe are made by Dusan. I am sure they are clean.

You could have basically used a modified version of Lara's Jungle Pants... but I like the TRU DLC outfit u used... hoping a mod for it comes out anytime soon.

Dusan, I have an issue.
I've downloaded $AtlantiB$'s Exclusive DLC outfit (http://dlc.atlantib.com/tavan_mitto.html), but when I try to import it into XNALara it says this:
