probably the best one is blender. 3ds max has a lot of issues, when u import the obj... the only one that works decently is 3ds max2009, but it still has some issues with hair mesh -_-

I love this program, THANK YOU A LOT

I have problems with the ponytail, it's very difficult control it. I don't know its movements nor what rules follows. It's incontrolable, just I can up and down, right and left. But if I try give any form... it goes crazy and messy.

I'd love if I can remove the bag and the holsters, just these... hahaha.

Anyone know do that??? Thank you.

No this program is not hard to use, sometimes when it becomes annoying when the arms are some trouble for me sometimes but i got used to them, its really easy to use. it looks hard or difficult befour i used it, but its really not that hard to use, so if you get to use it, good luck!

There's a default lightning source, that you can't change, sadly. But you can still play with PhotoShop to bring some effects to your render.

Hey, chill out... Overreacting much? If you don't have any sense of humour at all, you're place is not on this thread, or even on this forum. You should see the early renders used with XNALara, there was also some renders with the same pattern of humour as me (and most of the time, worst, and It doesn't change the fact that they were funny as hell). Blender, 3ds max, ... Maya too, most likely. OBJ is a fairly common format.

Do you know if there is any model of other game or other character of Underworld to do the same????
There's Natla now too (XNA Lara version 1.8).
Then the Doppelganger and the probably Amelia.

But i can,t zoom in???:confused:

Are you running XNA Lara version 1.7 at least?
There should be a more detailed error message in the latest versions.
If there's not, it means the program crashed even before it loaded. So it must be something related to Windows, .NET or XNA rather than the program itself.

Fantastic! amazing! Congratulations for the program! it's very adicting XD and I love the new character Natla! The next one it could be Doppleganger, with it's red braid, it's very similar than Lara, but with braid.

The best idea it's to export into transparent background, well done.

I found one bug, if you maximize the window for to fit all window, when you export image, it appear not model in the picture, only transparent.

I made that one but I forgot to save the file before I closed the program. :)
That gives me an Idea,
There should be a backup tool for XNA becuase I have lost about 5 pose when I close the program becuase I forgot to save.
And some of my poses are very good and I want to keep them to share. :)

Can't run the program :confused: :( Downloaded it but when I click XNALara.exe, I get a error message saying " XNALara has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." What's worng? I can provide what the details say but it's pretty long. Anyone getting this problem? I thought maybe I clicked the wrong thing and then clicked XNALara.application and it comes back with a error message saying "Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files. Contact application vendor for assistance." :confused:

Probably, but only the ponytail.
On the other hand, the new bones will give you more control over the ponytail or braid.
This will be particularly useful in case of the Doppelganger's braid.

I tried to get it through blender for shadows, But all I got was this :p

I pointed it for him a while ago, he didn't forgot it, its the headband texutre itself, its white, the shaders ingame make it look greenish black.

It's surprising how many people mention that there are no shadows in my program :)
They are there but they are intentionally very subtle.
I'm not a fan of deep black shadows because they don't look natural (most of the time). They always remind me of the early days of computer graphics when raytracing could handle only point light sources and all shadows were very sharp and very dark.

It's actually very simple to add a slider to my program to control the depth of shadows in realtime.
Below is a series of screenshots showing increasing depth of shadows.

I'll add this to the next release (and I really hope that people won't overuse it :D)

Looking forward to the next release. for me the best improvement so far is the Hair. I could never do the braid so that it looks natural but now it's very easy and looks wonderful

I agree with you, flat shading is so ... old-gen... but some nice self-shadow casting instead (as seen in some of the newest 3d game engines) would be nice :)

Would it be possible to get an export with bones feature? Just in case we export a pose and we want to alter it a little in our model editor. I really love this program, congrats Dusan!
