Alternate Ending

I am not sure if this is posted or not...if it just close.

What do people think about the alternate ending for TRU?

I wish they kept it but it did seem like it copied TRL a bit. Lara should of just shot her Amanda and ended it there.

It's a deleted extended (not alternate) ending that I love, but am happy they took out. ;)

It would have seemed out of character if Lara had she shot Amanda and killed her. Also, considering how much emphasis went into having Lara and Amanda work together at the climax of the game, killing her would have completely undone all that CD had established to that point.

Disagree, l preferred them parting on slightly better terms, Amanda might not have been happy about it but at least she came out of it looking like a responsible adult. And yes the deleted part was to much like the where's my mother scene, better to leave it completely different.

I'm pretty sure she killed her, as well. When Amanda fell over at the end, that was symbolic of her death. It shouldn't have to show her heart rate to prove that she died. Saying she didn't is like saying Larson never died in TRA, which is ridiculous. :rolleyes:

Lara shot Amanda in the leg, possibly the kneecap, and left her for dead. Whether the bullet wound killed her or not she was still left crippled on the mountains of Nepal.

No it should not have to show her heart rate since corpses cannot talk and Amanda obviously still could when Lara left her..

And in Peru she was trapped in the rocks, drowned and crushed, she seemed to survive the experience just fine. l am sure she would have had no trouble getting out of Nepal.

it would have been a bit out of place if Amanda tried to kill lara and then lara shot her to death seeing that Amanda saved her life at the real end of the game.
if Amanda wanted to kill Lara she wouldn't of grabbed her hand to save her.;)

oh i thought the alternate ending happend at the arctic circle, considering the fact the lara didnt have the excalibur with her, so i though that in the alternate ending, lara and amanda were able to go back to the top of the arctic...:p
