PS2 Relics?

I finished the game today with all the relics found. Now, I'm just wondering if they have any special purpose? I mean, Legend and Anniversary both had unlockables whenever you found them, but is there any in Underworld?

well in the 360/PS3 version they increase your health capacity. And I think unlock some artwork...

You mean Thor's power glove isn't the only one that gives you an ability?
Note: I'm only at the end of Coastal Ruins.

The relics in the 360/PS3/PC version that increase your maximum health capacity aren't present in the PS2 or wii versions.

The treasures (gold bars) you find in the PS2/wii versions do nothing more than unlock 'bonus' content - concept art from the game's development. But, there's no point in collecting them all, because once you've finished the game, everything gets unlocked anyway.
