I can not find the picture, but first they thought would die out and disappear over the stratosphere, but in subsequent images in space, they discovered that the bat was still hooked to the ship.:eek::yik::vlol::tmb:

I saw this in the paper yesterday, made me smile, to know the little fella remained attached throughout take off is completely unthinkable, must be a relation of "Batfink". :D

Wow, what a courage !

@Love2Raid : nope, because the air composition will be different and unbearable to it :)

Yeah, you are right. He probably got cremated when the shuttle went through the atmosphere.

Well, at least he was the first bat in outer space! :D

What are the odds?:p

It's the most epic way to die. (For an animal, at least)

Read it in the papers, poor little thing. Clinging for it's life...then to be fried.

How do you like your Bat-wings sir? Fried or extra crispy?

Surely he would have taken off when the shuttle started moving? No animal's going to hang around to get roasted, are they?

I'd LMAO if he actually arrives alive at the final destination of the space shuttle - and proves everyone wrong. :mis:

surely the odds of that happening are astronomical - but it would be awesome.
