View Full Version : Kinda big plot hole in Alone In The Dark 5 that I just realized...
This is in the fourth or fifth chapter where Sarah is captured by the bats and is imprisoned in that big pink vagina until Carnby shoots her out.
He performs CPR.
Now, a bit of background history. Carnby goes missing in 1938, and walks around as a soul-less killer until 2008.
The way Carnby performs CPR wasn't "invented" until the middle of the twentieth century.
This is probably the first time I've ever realized a plot hole :jmp:
Good observation. :tmb:
Perhaps in the time he spent in the Doc' Ambulance earlier on, he read it up on some pamphlets? :D
BTW, I absolutely HATE the CPR section. I can never get the timing right. A friend finished it up for me.
I don't think I've ever failed to do it, which is suprising because the timing DOES seem to be off a little bit.

What I dont Understand is that he is Like 40 but He was around in the 30's
Did you ever even play the game? The stone he was holding (The Philosopher's Stone, which held Lucifer/Satan's soul) stopped aging. He held that stone from 1938 to 2008.

Yes I actually own the Limited Edition version of the game.
So what you are saying is he teleported from 1938 to 2008.
What game does that happen in? :)
No, he possessed the Philosopher's Stone from 1938 to 2008. Those seventy years did not age him as the Philosopher's Stone stopped aging in the person who possessed it.
It's all told in the emails that you recieve when you're burning the roots of evil on a freelance walk in the park.
(PS: I own the limited edition too :D Love it)

Yeah, but I don't understand how he never even realised that he was in 2008, not 1930's.

Sorry, but that brings the lolz :vlol: x120!
HAHAHA.

Hmmm, you're right, that's another plot hole, but anyone could just assume he picked up today's paper from a trash bin and realized it was 2008.
