For my Birthday, I'm like getting lots of money and so my DS is boring so I'm going to trade that it with it's games and with my overallmoney buy a PSP 3000 package and a few games with it. Can someone list the qualities, advantages, disadvantages, if I should buy it and your overall rating for it. I'm just stuck in if to get it or not.

I have one of the first generation PSPs. :p
But yeah, it's hard to say whether you should trade your DS for it or not. I have both the DS and the PSP, but I use them both equally... or maybe i play my DS a tiny bit more, I dunno. :o
The PSP really is a lot of fun, and I am absolutely in love with mine. The game library is much different than the DS, though. The games generally seem more PS2 or "real game" like, while the DS usually is a gimmicky, innovative fun box. :p So neither are better per say, it just depends on what games you think you'd get more enjoyment out of.
If I had to choose between my PSP and my DS... I almost couldn't, but I'd probably go with the DS, though. The little thing is so innovative, it's a lot of fun. But then again, I do love my PSP and wouldn't trade it for anything. So perhaps you should save your money and keep your DS as well. :)

I'd go with something that wasn't handheld, since I'm not into hand held stuff. If you just want a portable gaming system, get a laptop. You can play DVD's on it, surf the web, play games (yes, you can use a controller) etc.. without having to stare at a little tiny screen in your hands. You just can't go jogging with it. :p
but I guess if all there ever was in the world was a PSP or DS, it would be the PSP. Its overall better quality IMO.

While the PSP has more media capabilities I found the DS to be more enjoyable personally. As a preference I like PSP because of the UMD movies, sd card, and they do have very good games for them. But the library isn't that developed which is why I barely used my PSP after the first 6 months I got it.
Personally, I have used my DS more, since I enjoy the games on it far more than the PSP's library.

I don't have a DS, but there a lot more games coming out soon for the DS than the PSP. That thing is dead.
i think that the PSP is waaayy better; i have owned both, i still have my PSP, and traded in my DS for 65 USD. here are some comparisons:
DS-
Touch Screen
Larger Game Library
Two Screens
If you drop it, and its closed, damage to the screens are unlikely; unless you drop it very high, like off a building.
PSP-
You can watch Movies/TV Shows
Internet Capability:
Download Music
Download Pictures
Download Themes
Download Videoes
Download Games/ Demos
Joystick
Buttons are bigger; easier to use.
Much better graphics
Much better sound
i am really not being biased, there might be much more things listed for the PSP; but that's because there are much, much more features for it.

:eek:I realy need to get PSP, specialy PSP-3000, but not yet, not yet.
I have to calm down first.
DS is better then PSP when there untampered with...
Though when a PSP is modded is becomes so much better. (being able to play PS1 games, Snes games, GBA games etc. and a ton of other cool little apps) When I had my psp modded I didn't even use it to play PSP games anymore. I was too busy playing the classic TR's and other PSX games on it xD
anyways, there is a 3000 psp?
What exactly is the difference between this one and the others?

Thats why I traded mine in, I found it hard to find good games, id be on the DS for hours and the PSP for 15 mins before I got bored :p
Features like music and video dont make the games good ;)
Ooo! I wish I got mine modded, I would have tried myself but I had the latest firmware :o

well, i have a PSP-2001 (dont worry, theres not 999 versions of the PSP between the 2001 and 3000 models, lol); and it can do all of these things(i got it in December 2007).
i dont know what the 3000 version offers compared to the 2001, but i know it has the latest software's version in it(you have to do an update every so often, through the internet, since some games require a higher update than others; and its free).
and i think that the 3000 has a better LCD screen or something like that.

well I'll be getting £60 from Nan, £50 from Mum, £10 from other family members, £10 from birthday cards for friends and family. That would give me an overall of £140, or something near that, trade in DS and my games and probaby get £60 add that on £200 add savings, £230 and so I have a netbook and want to buy a External CD-Drive and what about an XBOX 360? I got some questions about if I get the XBOX 360:
1. What XBOX 360 types could I buy from £200 (a package).
2. Would those types have XBOX Live.
3. How much does XBOX Live cost and what are payments like monthly, or yearly or something that?
4. Will I get a subscripton card of XBOX Live if I brought a package.
5. Does my TV need to be HD Ready to have XBOX 360 in it?
Cheers!
