The TR universe would be full of wonder & excitement & if your were one of the lucky few, like Lara, you would have multiple lives so danger wouldn't be so bad. Of course in CD's TR universe you may not need them.:D

Another great place would be the province Cyrodiil in Tamriel from Oblivion. You could study one or all the different guilds. The darker side of me wouldn't mind being in Nosgoth from Legacy of Kain for it's interesting architecture & history. :)

Other than that, any setting that promises mind-boggling possibilities of exploration and well, space. Sci-fi settings where humans have reached the stars like FreeSpace (I'd sign up with the fleet and dodge the majestic beam cannons myself) or Mass Effect (join some scouts), or Fallout with its Earth Reloaded, or, most obvious of all, Planescape and be a planewalker.

It's amazing seeing how perfect some of the worlds are in video games in comparison to our real world. Like in the Final Fantasy universe, for example. There is little development on some of the islands in FFX. Besaid is almost completely natural and unspoilt. If it were our world, governments would look at it and go "OMG, let's put a resort here and pollute the island!"

Just sharing my thoughts there. :) I would probably choose nature over a metropolitan area. If I had to choose a metropolitan area, I would definitely choose Dream Zanarkand, or probably even the ruined one. That feeling of being alone and having the whole city to yourself. :D

I have not yet played the game but Rapture from bioshock looks absoloutly gorgeous under the sea with a 50's atmosphere. Obviously without any enemies or maybe ever rapture from the abes oddesy games that murky world seemed so unfathomable and yet so beutiful, though for a perfect world it would be mirrors edge city without the battles between criminals and police a metropolitan paridise. Also cyrodil would be a dream and super mario sunshine places all were wonderful, it was hard to collect all those stars I got stuck in the hotel filled with ghosts getting the star at the end.

This is so easy. I would live in Caldera, on the island of Morrowind. I have my house all picked out. Ghorak Manor is not a charming little bungalow or a prized architectural landmark, but it is is the best and largest house in my favorite Morrowind town.
