Alright, the new teaser sight for AC2 has really gotten me into the spirit of looking for hidden clues and meanings. Knowing Ubisoft and the detail they put into everything, I'm confident that if something seems significant, it is. Here's what we can get from the site so far.

The Artifacts
Starting with the first one given on the main page, there are 5 different "artifacts" that, when placed in front of a web cam, reveal 3D images relating to the new game. Each artifact has a name that seems to be gibberish, but is in fact code. Replace each letter with the one that precedes it in the alphabet and it forms a word. The words are, in order; Death, Hero, Upgrade, Anatomy, Fly. Each 3D image is related in some way to its name: "Death" is the hidden wrist blade, "Hero" is the back of a new assassin, "Upgrade" is a modified drawing of Da Vinci's Vitruvian man wearing two wrist blades. Also, the artifact names when run together may form a sort of sentence: [The] Death Hero [assassin] Upgrade Anatomy Fly [to fly]. This would explain why Da Vinci's wing design is featured so significantly in the video.
Each artifact has a basic similarity: A white circle in a black box. The Hero and Upgrade artifacts were not given, they were figured out by creating variations of the first Death artifact.

The Upgrade Artifact
As you can see, each artifact features a central point in the form of a dot or hexagon, with lines eminating from it. The central point is probably related to how each 3D image can be rotated by turning the paper. So far only the Death, Hero and Upgrade artifacts have been figured out, but the last two can probably be done in the same way.
Another note; the artifacts are referred to as fragments and seem to build upon each other. This suggests that if all 5 are overlayed they might reveal something.

[U]The Vitruvian Man

For those of you unfamiliar with Da Vinci's Vitruvian man, it is a drawing of perfectly balanced anatomy. It is basically what you see above, except that picture has several differences.
First of all, the man had been "neutered". It could simply be PC-ness, or it could mean the protagonist is female. I think this was rumored earlier on.
On the man's left (your right) hand is the assassin's wrist blade. Nothing too mysterious here, except that in the 3D image for the Upgrade artifact the man has a blade on each wrist.
On the man's other arm is what looks like a gauntlet. There appears to be something on top of the gauntlet, a blade or something, but it could be nothing.
Above the man's head is an odd symbol. It looks a bit like an astrology symbol, but I think it also resembles a grail symbol. As in the Holy Grail. I'm pretty sure this was mentioned in the first AC. Could be that we go looking for the Grail in AC2.
Finally there is the sketch of Da Vinci's wing. Flight has always been a theme in AC, what with Altair and the falcon and what not. It seems that we may get to use a glider in AC2.

So what do you think?

I said this in the other thread, he isn't "neutered" in the ad banners, so, I doubt it means anything. You could be right, but I doubt it. Here's some pics of the banners from yesterday that someone took on Team Xbox:

See he's not there for what that's worth.

Yay, I'm so going to join this fun! :D
I'm going to call this "ACIT" (Assassin's Creed Investigation Team) :vlol:

Okay, it's fact (or not :D) that Leonardo da Vinci was once the grandmaster of the brotherhood called "Prieuré de Sion" and that they tried to protect the Holy Grail. (man, I've read too much "The Da Vinci Code"!)
Maybe Leonardo is going to replace the role of Master Al Mualim, they even look a little bit alike.
Leonardo da Vinci being the grandmaster of a brotherhood of Assassins? That explains the changes in his "Vitruvian Man".

For now I'm going to test the new Artifacts :D

well, no its not, but I agree with where you're going with it. I think the grail will play a role in AC2. Wasn't it mentioned in the first one?
