Just a quick question from a n00b to all the seasoned 360 owners...

If I swap my 120GB Elite hard drive on to someone else's 360 will anything mad and untoward happen? I wanna get at my profile you see, I want to copy it on to my memory stick, but I can't do that while my Elite's being repaired.

Thanks for answering that Viper.
And would I be able to use my profile on someone else's 360 to play XBL games (even if they don't have a gold account but I do)?

I'm about 90% certain you can yeah. I can't remember what we did when my friend used theirs at mine. I'm sure you can though, the live account is attached to the gamertag not the console. (eg: 2 gamertags on one 360, one has a live subscription; the other doesn't. You can only play online with the one that does even though they are on the same console)

You could just recover your gamer tag to your friends 360? Any achievements you get stay with the gamer tag so when you recover it back on your own console then you will still have your new achievements.
