View Full Version : Using PS2 controller on PC version
I'm using a regular PC version of Tomb Raider II. I have a PS2 controller and a USB adaptor for the controller. How do I map my controller for the game? tried doing it in-game, but won't let me map arrow keys to the analog stick. Also, which buttons should I map the actions to? Please help.
Does this help? I haven't done this myself.

try joy to key (http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm)
if the program works not ... get a regular PC game pad with PS layout (the logitech dual action USB works great)
ensure drivers are installed properly
map controls however you feel comfortable playing ;)
I have the same setup as you DBI1000, a PS2 pad and a USB adapter. I find that the directions (up/down/left/right) can't be remapped in the old Tomb Raiders, they'll always be assigned to the D-pad. However, if I turn on the analogue sticks, the directions are automatically swapped from the D-pad to the left analogue (but you can still obviously remap all the other buttons).
For proper usage of any gamepad under TR1 you need to use VDMSound (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/windowsxp2.html) gamepad setup and Joy2Key (link above) application both.
Using any one of the maps works to get the analogue direction stick working, which is all I needed really. I can now use in conjunction with joytokey to configure the 12 buttons as I want.
