Matty, how would anyone know I use Blender? Hmmm...

But seriously, are you trying to edit a .mesh format model?
I've done a little experimenting with that myself. Do you have Sephirostoy's scripts for importing and exporting from and to the mesh.ascii format? The process is

Convert the desired modelname.mesh (Meshbintoascii script from Dusan) to a .mesh.ascii file
Import the modelname.mesh.ascii (Importmeshasciiextended, script from Sephirostoy) into Blender (by way of a text editor window)
Make your changes (correctly)
Export (Exportmeshasciiextended, Sephistroy's again) in Blender's text editor window again
Convert (Meshasciitobin) to a binary modelname.mesh file for use in XNALara
Cross your fingers and hope you have done it right (I hope I've described it right, it's been a little while).

Oh and Liamrulez, please join the discussion about this: I'm no expert so you may very well know better than I. I also think it helps to discuss these problems in the forums, so that others might learn.

Thanks, toxicrader. They can also be carefully edited to change filenames for textures, in any text editor.

From what I know, you have to ID the Textures, then export it into a folder with the textures and the .OBJ and .MTL :).

I could be wrong though, but it's worth a try :D.

2 items ripped from Silent Hill: Homecoming. Originally they are untextured (I used Scarlet to rip them) and I don't know how to texture them, so I rip the textures separately, and $AtlantiB$ has been a great help to re-texture these objects :D

I agree with you in parts, I mean ok, AtlatiB really seems to have no problem on doing what people asking him for to do, but I think people could have in their mind that sometimes ask for 10 mods in only one post, like I saw people doing in this thread, is not so cool. Ask for one mod, say thank you, use that mod and then asks for another! :)

Unfortunately, the value of shiny - in XNALara is hard coded.
DUSAN has never released my extension. Only with this extension can be specified the shiny value as a parameter in the MESH file. Apology - nothing to be done.

Actually I have spent a big time on searching for the author of a mod before posting a photo wich I used him.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that people shouldn't give credits, I'm just saying that the way how someones here ask for them when people forget is kind rude and - it happened once with me - it makes you feel really bad, like if you have done something really bad.

But of course people should try the most to find the author of the mod that he used and give him the due credits :D
