Hey! I remember that someone made the discovery of a buried lara model in the flashback levels that was obviously the earliest incarnation of Lara that CD had developed before Toby-Spoil-It-All came along  I was wondering if anyone could please link me to some posts about this discovery because I hope now that we have XNA maybe we could pose this AOD model?

I've never heard of that, but if it's true, it sounds intriguing. :mis:

But I don't think XNA would be able to do anything with it even if it is true, it only handles Underworld characters.

but on the XNA lara thread people have used figures from TRL, TRA and even TR2!

They have? Must be my mistake then. Unless they're only Mods and aren't actually the character models.

I found this (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=84223&highlight=figure) but I think there's another thread talking about what you said, I can't find it though :)

I remeber seeing a video showing it, she is entire brown, BTW you could try using the fly patch if you have TRL on PC.

PS:XNA Lara can' support other objects oter theTRU's, they will be static obejcts. The secret of TR2 Lara is that you hav to use bone by bone, it takes a long time to make pose.;)

There's also this (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?p=2435177#post2435177) one Nausinous.

EDIT: this (http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=125126&highlight=buried+peru&page=2) one might be better, but nost of it is in the thread Jo linked to.

I find that rather symbolic....

Don't read too much into it. Character models are always stored somewhere in the levels and then moved to their positions on load. This one is a leftover. It was probably used during alpha stages, and then they forgot to remove it, just that. Don't think on symbollic conspiracies. Most likely, the current Lara model is placed likewise in the level data on disk.

Her body looks great on that. Its as if Crystal exaggerated her features even more there. :tmb:

Yeah, I was just thinking, "Damn, that version of Lara has got it going on!" :p She looks curvy and muscular at the same time. The final version that was in the game looks too thin and weak to me.

Also, I think that render (http://i28.************/2elh5r4.jpg) is my favorite version of Lara so far out of all of the games and renders.

I love the way some things they have done really make lara interesting looking, esspeciallythe way they exagerated her:)

I like this better than the legend version, she is less perfessional and boring, more interesting and random:)

why is the 3D model pony tail different to the render one?

^I think they are the same, the "braidness" of the braid is probably only a texture and not the actual shape:)

I think that version of Lara is one of the best i have seen, it has some mystery to it and a lot of inner life, she is vital and strong and shows her character. It is fascinating to see the development in such a relic and I am very glad that the community has explorers who share such discoveries. For whatever reason she is in there, it is a great thing to see. Thanks to all for the sharing. I am sure Lara herself would approve of the enterprise in this effort.

That was creepy. To think she was buried there all that time and I didn't know.
