at five minutes and four seconds after 4 am on the 8th of july this year, the date will be:

04:05:06 07/08/09

this same number sequence in single digits will never happen again in our lifetime, only 1000 years later.

but also, at 34 minutes and 56 seconds after 12 on that date it will be exactly
12:34:56 7/8/9

and that will also only happen again in a thousand years. so cool eh?

I must say it's an honor and a privilege to be around to experience such an amazing event in our lifetime, i shall mark this down in my diary and commence preparations for an after party to celebrate this rare occurance of overwhelming splendour, (A hint of polite sarcasm here i think). :D

Actually there's two thousand-year events, the last one was at 1:23 on April 5, 2006 (1:23, 4/5/06).
