As the title says. Which old and classic, or classic-ish, games should recieve a remake. I know remakes aren't always good, but humour me:D

The original Crash Bandicoot should be remade for the PS3, as faithful as possible, but with new challenges and a new save system.

I think that Eidos's Urban Chaos should be remade. It's really underrated and I had alot of fun being a policeman (woman) and fighting crime. It was sort of like True Crimes, but something about Urban Chaos made it alot more fun than True Crimes.

I think that Eidos's Urban Chaos should be remade. It's really underrated and I had alot of fun being a policeman (woman) and fighting crime. It was sort of like True Crimes, but something about Urban Chaos made it alot more fun than True Crimes.

Having seen the in-progress trailers from Core's AE I would want to play the finished version (in addition to Crystal's game, not in place of it). It looked like it would have been really fun to play and I'm sad it got canceled, especially so close to completion.
Anyhow, I'd be scared to see a remake of the classic games that I love because chances are things would be done differently and it would not be the same game anymore.
Having said that, I think it would be really cool if they could take the original Blood Omen game and make it 3D without significantly changing the level design. I would want the game to be as large and expansive as it currently is, but perhaps even more complex because now it could take proper advantage of vertical height instead of the way it was approximated in the game. And of course all of the same spells, abilities, weapons, and puzzle mechanics should be there.
I would also want the same story, dialogue, and music with the only changes being to improve the quality of the sounds and images. I'm really concerned that if they did remake BO1, they'd rewrite the story to make it fit with the events from Defiance and I don't want that. I like the BO1 story as it is. I don't want Raziel retconned into it and I don't want Vorador's personality altered to accommodate changes made in Defiance. I don't think I would mind including an explanation for Turel's presence, but that would probably require new dialogue to be recorded and I can't stand the thought of scrapping Tony Jay's version of Mortanius. I mean, the voice actor from Defiance was great, but Tony Jay is just phenomenal and I feel like it would be wrong for someone else to rerecord his lines.

I would only want crash bandicoot to be remade if only ND did it I don't wan the people who ruined the series to touch it.
Yes Gex is awesome :tmb: I would want clock tower remade just because I have never played it and I want to, but don't want to play 50 dollars for a ps1 game :p

Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Crash Bandicoot, Castlevania only to name a few...
I would also say GTA 1 & 2 but I can't see how they could possibly do it without making it too close to the contemporary ones.

I would love a "Streets of Rage" remake or even sequel. I spent so many hours on those games (always as Blaze), and never got tired of them.

Twilight princess pretty much IS a remake of Ocarina of Time, apart from the whole wolf transformation nonsense (hello Okami) it's beat for beat the same game. I don't think anyone's going to appreciate a game that's even more similar to the extent that they are solving the same exact puzzles with slightly shinier graphics (which thank's to the 'power' of the Wii would still look no better than an upscaled Gamecube game.)

why do people think that? It's not like all the old copies are destroyed.
anyway, I'd like TRII to be remade. Also I think someone should take another stab at a The Thing game. Oh, and Jurassic Park Trespasser. Make it an open-world island game :D
I like the physics of that game. Your character has a broken arm and yet she's somehow able to carry a 1 ton steel girder around. :ton:

The only thing I want a remake of is Final Fantasy VII. :) One day, it'll happen.
Tomb Raider 3, Tomb raider Chorinicles ,Tomb Raider AOD also make it a possiable trilogy..., Fighting Force 1, FF8 (with the option of playing the story from Rinoa's point of view 2 discs ;) ) Dark Chronicle and Cy Girls (with the new option to make a Cy Girl )
TRII, or FFVII. Oh yeah, and Fighting Force 64.

They're owned by Sony, a CB remake has next to no chance of reaching another console.
I'd like to see a FFVII remake, TRAE, Pokemon silver.. Oh wait.. :yah:

Maybe even a Buffy the Vampire Slayer remake! Only of the first one though. The Chaos Bleeds game was too clunky and had a really buggy camera. And playing as everyone else in that game was too boring. Except for Faith, she's badass!

The combination of limited hardware/technology and imagination gave many of the Great Classics that special personality: you can't remake that.
Remakes sukk most of the time.

Well I've never played the clocktower series but I saw the first one from a games console that was before my time SNES ? I think. Anyway it did indeed look scary being stalked in a beutiful mansion with todays graphics would be immense and just to be able to play it would be a treat, I was also going to say shenmue but no one could ever repeat such a perfect game :(
The only thing I want a remake of is Final Fantasy VII. :) One day, it'll happen.
