Hello guys,

Here's a little game : try to name all the countries of the world in less than 15 minutes :)

But DO NOT CHEAT PLEASE !

And post your score here.

I got 179 and then tried again and got all of them : 195 and I still had two minutes remaining :)

ENJOY :D

The quiz thingy Counted 'Kosovo' as an independant country. How many of you got that one?I would've thought most people would've got Kosovo as they gained independance pretty recently and it was in the news alor.

Zaire rolls off the tongue better than Democratic Republic of Congo, though.:pDid you know there's also a Republic of Congo? A bit off topic here, but I've found that countries that have less emphasis on democracy in their names tend to be more democratic. China and Korea are two good examples. I wonder if this applies to Congo too :p

According to the Economic Freedom Index, it does. The Democratic Republic of Congo is at 173 and the Republic of Congo is at 166 out of 179 countries. Maybe they think the name will somehow be beneficial.:p

Ironically, nations with "people's" in their names are often very undemocratic.

Ironically, nations with "people's" in their names are often very undemocratic.

"People's Republic of China" is not really an irony. Communism is not suposed to be a democracy. By naming a country like that they're not trying to sound democratic, remember that communism is suposedly achieved by a system where the proletariat controls everything (a dictatorship of the people).

Not that I would expect you to take anything I say seriously but just felt like pointing it out. :pi:
