You have to pay for it. Its part of Microsoft office.

Use Open Office.

It's a free version of the Microsoft version.

Get it here. (http://www.openoffice.org/)

Yup. Open Office (http://www.openofficedownload.org/ver1a/index.php?se=AffID-210&affid=210&googleid=1041572243) has everything Microsoft Office has, but it is free.

Gosh, I hate Open Office Powerpoint! I used it for a presentation and it was so hard to use, and frustrating, and then I went and opened the presentation up in Microsoft Powerpoint (I saved it in the same format) and things were so messed up and text was overlapping :hea:

Luckily I had enough time to download Open Office and use that to present.

Just make sure that if your doing a presentation or something, and you make it with Open Office, you present with Open Office.

Open office can't read Microsoft .ppt's or .pps's

This thread's gonna be closed anyway, as long as you don't use a rapidshare link. better buy it online from MS.

I think it can. It can open word documents.

I suggest that you either, if presenting:

1.)Download Open Office again on the PC that you are presenting from.

OR

2.) Download the Microsoft Power point demo. I'm sure there is one on the website somewhere, but it does expire after a certain amount of time.

If OOo can't work with .ppt, I believe IBM Lotus Symphony (http://symphony.lotus.com/software/lotus/symphony/home.nsf/home) is supposed to be able to both open and save to .ppt. Can't speak from experience in either package though, I just have MS Office myself.
If it's purely about showing the presentation on another computer (showing, and not editing), you can also just export it to a PDF.

I am dowloading a trial version of microsoft office, because I only need it for a little bit of time to make my presentation, then present it at school on power point there.....

I don't know why they do this crap with power point presentations,I mean not everyone has the program.....

I am having trouble getting it set up though,I downloaded it,but there were two options..

download 1 and download 2...so I chose download 2 because download one made me:p

and all it downloaded was an installation thing,so I installed it and it just installed an application fiel, when I click it it starts extracting itself but then stops halfway through because of an error,so I tried manually extracting it and now I am left with a bunch of random files and have no clue what to do next.

I was supposed to revieve an activation code, but cannot access my hotmail soooo have no clue what to do with these random files and if any of them are usefull.....
