The part in the gameplay demo where he is trying to hurry and start the lights was intense for me. I wanted to scream hurry!:D I really hope they don't push this game back anymore.

Yay, Penumbra! My mate and me were well bad at that- we didn't lock the door right and the flappy bat thing tried to eat us, so we threw dynamite on the floor and ran round it to tempt it to its death. Fail.

Obviously MS wants this game to be a possible system-seller, rather than split the sales with the PC version at launch. I wouldn't doubt a PC release later on but, for a little while, they want a new major game for the 360 to call it's own.

If we all worked at MS we'd probably make the same decision.

One of the most common things you hear is that the 360 does not have as many exclusives as the PS3 because many 360 games are also released for the PC. Of course, very few PS3 exclusive games make it to the PC. Maybe MS has been listening to the PS3 fan boys.

After pimping a PC to play all the latest games smoothly short of Crysis, and making sure it is ready to receive Alan Wake, this is a low blow. For 5 years PC was listed as one of the platform and A LOT of PC gamers are waiting this to arrive because it looks like it can kick Crysis ass. Now MS pulled the rug under our feet at the last minute? Sigh...

I've been saving money to buy a console and after some consideration, PS3 won the tug of war easily just by all the exclusive games I want to play. Among the Uncharted 1 & 2, Heavenly Sword, and the upcoming God of War 3. 360? None.

Maybe the glimmer of hope is that Alan will come to PC at a latter date. (pffft..). But I have a huge suspicion it's gonnabe a port and a bad one at that. We'll see.

Yes, they have every right to complain! Why would the experience be any different on a computer? You can plug in a controller and use a HD TV as a monitor. Combine that with better graphics, and it beats any console!

Well, in all honesty, your first impressions are unjust. I fail to see how Alan Wake could beat out Heavy Rain and vice versa. All we've seen from Alan Wake's side are videos. Also, I fail to see how the two games are similar in any way.

It's only a question of taste. Alan Wake seems to be more my cup of tea, that's all....

Plus, a lot of people have compared Alan Wake and Heavy Rain, and it's pretty obvious in my mind, and I believe that some other people have discussed this point, that Alan Wake is Xbox 360's Heavy Rain, hence the comparison.

I have heard many talk about how the 360 does not have as many exclusives, because the games also are on the PC, but when a game is not released on the PC there is a lot of complaints. Of course PS3 exclusive games rarely if ever make it to the PC but no one seems to slam Sony for choosing a radically different architecture.

im sure that they love the money that they get, but im guessing its not as much as MS. only (NFP) Charites are Non-For-Profit driven: every business, would like a profit and not just break even. im sure that Sony has its dirty secrets.

Seriously, folks, if you think Sony has any great moral superiority to MS... well, you may feel differently later on in life. The big corporations are ALL about money, basically.

The other big console company is proof... Nintendo has been accused (and been proved to be guilty of) of some truly awful business dealings in the past. You can't judge these companies solely by which console or games you prefer... or whether they are based in the US or Japan. I think a lot of people tend to do that... but that's why I stress the point that these are multinational companies. They are so big that the same natural business tendencies affect them all.

Yeah, you know it didn't register that your previous post kind of ended with saying they were both pretty good. You might prefer Sony but realize they each have their issues. Sorry! :o

I just make the assumption that they're both out for their profit line and that may sometimes be good and sometimes bad for us consumers. I like both their consoles, though, so it's all good for now. :)

BACK ON TOPIC: When is Alan Wake supposed to be released? I'm looking more and more forward to this game... it's a very interesting concept and the gameplay has some twists to it that make it fresh and new.

March - FFXIII, Dragon Age Origins: Awakening

April - Splinter Cell: Conviction, Red Dead Demption

There is too many games coming out in the next few months. xD

I could tell by the gameplay I wouldn't enjoy it and (call me crazy) but I missed the whole creepy, supernatural elements involved when I first heard about the game; that put me off even more. I hate horror in video games. Suspense, no problem. Horror, no thank you.
