Ok, Underworld has so much similarities to AOD.
Here is a list I made:
1. The Game has a dark atmosphere
2. The Doppleganger look like AOD Lara
3. A Second Playable Character
4. Death of a Character (Von Croy and Alister)
5. Hand to Hand Combat
6. The Supernatural
7. Dual-Aiming (Was planned in AOD but was removed)
8. Main Villian has Powers (Natla can throw Fireballs and Karel can Fly and Shapeshift)
9. Parts of a Trilogy (AOD was supposed to have 2 more games)
10 Lara has the same pose in both covers
AOD= Last game from Core
TRU= Last game from CD (I hope... Now square have Eidos)

Square owning Eidos has nothing to do with Crystal Dynamics not making the games, they're currently developing TR9 I believe, even though no official announcement has been made.

CD is still making the TR games. Square isn't making the next game if you has that in your head, as many have before. All Square is doing is publishing the next TR game, along with Eidos. ;)

Also, Lara's mansion was originally planned to be burned down in AOD too.
Animation of Lara with a box in hand is recicled from AOD.

Both promoted "Next Gen" graphics.
I disagree on the dark atmosphere. I don't know, it was darker in AOD.

Well, Underworld out of the three CD games is the darkest. Especially Mexico and Jan Mayen Island

Not only that, I read somewhere that they were even want to turn her in to a drunker....
Similarities between AoD and Underworld? Both were over-hyped piles of misery.

Another small similarity between the two game is that Lara has a wrist band (in AOD she only has it in the first levels in Paris) .

I can't remember exactly where I read it but basically they said they wanted to take Lara to a really dark place and wanted to burn down her mansion but they were asked not to by Paramount since they thought it would affect any future films (since her mansion is a unique part of her character if you get me).
Also, Lara's mansion was originally planned to be burned down in AOD too.

I can't remember exactly where I read it but basically they said they wanted to take Lara to a really dark place and wanted to burn down her mansion but they were asked not to by Paramount since they thought it would affect any future films (since her mansion is a unique part of her character if you get me).
Why didn't Paramount ask yet again when they wanted to burn down the TRU Manor? And Paramount are about Movies, not games though.

Yeah I think that these similarities aren't in the gamye by chance. There are so many things that are quite the same, for example the cutscene you see at the beginning of both games: In every game we see start the game some time before the scene happened and then get to see exactly the same scene again, but this time we already know some more storyrealted things and understand the scenes, what we absolutly didn't at first view.
I hope you know what I mean...:p

Yep. :) Taking Thailand for this example. So green and lush, you couldn't say it had a dark atmosphere. All of AoD levels had a dark atmosphere.

I think its reffering to the doppelganger. Some people count BTA and LS as part of underworld. I personally see it as TR8 Gold.
