They aren't great but I've used them all in plays so...:p

I'm horrible at accents. I feel really dumb trying to mimic the way somebody else speaks.:p

So I guess the only accent I can do is General American!:D

British
Jamaican
Mexican
Filipino
Chinese
Japanese

I do an amazing Southern American.. in fact, bit and pieces occasionally creep into my day to day voice lately.

I've found myself saying "Bye" with a slight twang, sort of like, "Baih".

I also do a good Mexican one.

Fallen.Angel

I can't do any unfortunately. :o

Punaxe

I used to be quite good at them, both in English and in Dutch, but this was years ago, I have no idea how I'd fare now - probably pretty badly. :(

According to some tourguy however, who usually "nails 'em quite well", my regular English makes me sound like I'm from Quebec.

I can do a general English accent, can also do Yorkshire accent as well. Need to practise on my Irish. American is easy. Australian is too difficult for me I can't pull it off. >.<

WHen saying hello to people I say "Hello. Are you having a productive day there?" in an Irish accent.

I also constantly say "Very Niice" in Borat's accent! Just to annoy people!

None really except the Birmingham accent which is really prominent. (and also sounds stupid to others here.)

I'd love to do a Sewth Efrikan accent though. I dunno, it just sounds good. :D

Mostly American accents. Everyone can tell if I speak with a British or none-American accent. It's pretty much just too inconvenient to speak with English accents.

I've lived in America, so give me a few days, and I'll sound American. :)
Just normal American.

I've learned British just from TV, really.
I've spoken to lots of British people when drunk and they never noticed I was foreign. :D
With effort, I think I can do RP and a semi decent cockney.
Some drunk guy asked me if I was from Manchester once, though.

Strangely rubbish in Norwegian, though. I can only speak the one my mother speaks ( mid western) and the one my dad speaks (eastern standard).
I mix between the two. Oslo is a melting pot of languages, accents and dialects anyway.

I can do a bit of a britsh accent, I used to be able to do french. Don't know if i still can. And Oddly enough I can do a Texas accent. Why is that odd? I am from texas. :ton: I've just heard how it sounds to every one else and i can do one :p

Portuguese:

northern one: the nicest
Southest one: too snob
brasilian: kinda different yet I am not the best
afrikan: most funniest, in a good mean
and last version: no definition to this one... lol... as we say in PT: labrego
English:

I don't have one exactly... I may say hand as in American one, as I may say the same in English one...
btw, saying "neither" as n-I-ther is American or english
French:

according to family I get closer to the Parisian one. I say "Oui" (yes) like I read, and not like the southern french, where it is read "Oué".
Is it true it's snob accent saying strong "n"s, like in "très bien"?:o

I can guarantee that unless you are Australian born, your Australian accent is off. I've yet to see any actor do an Australian accent correctly. I still meet people to this day who think they were correct on The Simpsons!

I speak a mix between the typical Oslo accent and eastern dialect too. :)

But if i speak with people from Oslo i always speak bokmål. :)

Lol, not fully. :D

I am a wog though, but my accent isn't 'fully sick'. That's a bit overboard, lmao. People tend to think I have more of a general Australian accent, while I personally have no idea what accent I have. :D

I can do:
Indian
Jamaican
Posh British
I can do a few words with an Australian one, but then I lose it Lol (too hard :p)
Oh yeah, and Cockney British XP
What do Chinese and Japanese accents sound like?? O.o I've never heard them lol.
Oh yeah, EVERYBODY says I speak with an American accent weird maybe it was the amount of TV I watched lol

Oh yeah...it's not spot on. It's "alright" because I spent like day with an Australian person for about 4 years! So i picked up on her nuances.

Oh and for some reason I always roll my r's when I 'm doing welsh! Do welsh people even do that?

Nannonxyay
07-06-09, 10:21
I can do Californian accents, I guess. :p I'm pretty bad, but I love doing New York accents. Also, I put on Christian Bale's fake American accent when I quote the "Christian Bale flipping out techno remix." I got in trouble for doing that in school once. :D

My proper accent is quite odd in a sense that sometimes I sound a bit slang, but I do talk in proper English most of the time. I can do a good, really posh voice. I generally put on voices in every day life just to annoy people, or to get a reaction. I'm a bit of a performer, you see. :)

Changeling

It can happen occasionally :D

An annoying thing is when people try to do Scottish accents and they constantly roll their r's and always use ch the whole time ("'Tiz a bricht moonlicht nicht tonicht (I've yet to hear any Scottish person in my life say something like that :p))

I'm kind of glad that I live in the North because we have our own accent and it's apparantly really hard to do, though people have laughed at us at the way we say things XD

What on earth is that?

It's my mother-tongue accent, people who live in the county of Caithness in the very North-East of Scotland speak it, hence the name Caithnessian. It's quite rare and I've yet to find someone not from Caithness who can pull it off properly.

I can do a 'Cornish accent' very well because that's where I'm from and my parents and rest of family have noticeable Cornish accents. I just speak in a plain accent normally but the Cornish comes through sometimes like when I say 'Factor 30' when I'm asking for suncream so making a full switch to what should be my 'natural accent' isn't too difficult at all for me.

As for any other accent, I'm totally rubbish at them. :p
