the bald guy who's there in most versions of TRC is Charles Kane. when chronicles was released, Pierre's character design still had hair so there wasn't any confusion back then. however, now i can see why it would happen.

Pierre du Pont was a character in TR1. He was killed by Lara in the same game in the Tomb of Tihocan.

The character you're thinking of in Chronicles is Charles Kane, one of Lara's close friends. It's not Pierre, he's still dead in that storyline. Pierre does appear in a flashback in Chronicles, though whether this is set before or after TR1 is unknown (I personally think it's set before).

Since Anniversary is a re-make of the original TR, Pierre is back. However, you have to remember that the storyline of TR's 1-6 is not related to the newer games, both storyline's are different and set in another TR universe.

I find it interesting that in Chronicles two new characters were created just to explain about Lara's past adventures. And also there was that Yves guy. Did he die, why wasn't he at Lara's memorial?

I digress though. Pierre has been explained now, but his and Larson's appearance in Chronicles was certainly a confusing one as a timeline was never really discussed.

No, Core's Natla and Crystal's Natla are still two different characters, just as Core's Pierre and Crystal's Pierre are. Natla just plays a more prominent role in Crystal's storyline. Core Design's TR universe and Crystal Dynamics' TR universe are in no way related.

The Charles Kane character was Jean Yves, but in TLR a real Archaeologist by the name of Jean Yves threatened to sure Core Design because of their character, so they had to change his name and his accent.
