The sample sounds good so far. I think its on par with her other albums but thats just based on those short previews, of course this one is ore dance orientated and there aren't as many mid tempo songs as in older ones. This might be a drastic change for some listeners, but I'm surrounded by dance music so its a welcome change for me.

I agree with you.. And her songs are so boring, I was listening to the preview and I almost fall asleep. No energy in her songs, they all sound the same, something is missing and the video (She Wolf) is terrible! And the whole song, eh.. She is really famous, I thought she will have a good video and amazing songs, and the whole dancing thing is weird! Especially in the last part of the video. I was kinda shocked! :eek:

Got her album today and absolutely love nearly all the songs on it. Very energetic and pumpin! Don't base your judgement on the previews because honestly the songs are 10x better in the full. :)

I think people who are shocked and appaled at the dancing in She Wolfs video are taking it too seriously. I think she was aiming for something to make you laugh, especially the dance move at the end. There are some moves in there which are your standard dance moves and of course she has got to put some belly dancing in there because its what shes renowned for.

Shakiras always been a bit weird, and thats why I love her. :)

There should have been more songs on the album. I miss like 5 songs. And the 13th song on the US Special Edition is really good. (Give It Up To Me feat Timbaland) So far I really like that one, She Wolf, Men In This Town and Why Wait. The others are just okay. Maybe the rest will grow on me. :)

I'm glad to see Shakira performing in her comfy clothes again. lmao. I mean I love the glam Shakira we've had but I also like that she can go on stage and perform and look stunning without a hugely expensive outfit and stage make up.

it was initially planned to be a folk album from different latin countries. a la "Depedida and Hay Amores" if you heared them. But after the releative failure of She Wolf, the album got mixed up again and it's going to be english/spanish and she'll work with pharell again <.< although I dont see the point really..the single that was relased from pharell songs "Did It Again" flopped..and the only hit from She Wolf was she wolf the song (which she wrote by herself) so what's the point of working with him again? That's pretty common. Alot of artists will do a longer show but cut a number of songs from the DVD. Usually either for running time or to make them exclusive elsewhere or even if they just didn't fit in the whole performance. I saw a couple of videos from the Mongoose DVD. It looks great. I'll definitely check it out, and the MTV Unplugged DVD. I have the album but I want the DVD performance.
