The part at the end where you fight Natla... What did you think of it?

These are what I want you to talk about.

1. The seeing Natla again alive and unwell , when you thought she was dead or did you expect to see her again?

2. After she goes down for a first time, did you think she would get back up or did you carry on like normal and think she was dead...???

3. What was your reaction to seeing her rise again?

4. After killing her for a second time did you wait there and expect her to get up again or did you, once again, carry on like normal and think "she won't rise again this time"??

I don't know if anyone has made a thread like this so I am sorry if they have.

1. I knew she hadn't died because I had played Anniversary before-hand:)

2. I shot her down, and I remembered listening to my TR1 soundtrack and hearing Natla speak. I was thinking "she didn't say it! Hmm, maybe it'll be like Anniversary and she'll get up again... that was too easy" :D

3. Kind of like a "Do you ever die?" :p

4. I carried on like normal and think "she won't rise again this time". If she had, I'd have put my arms into the TV screen, grabbed Natla and shook her like a ragdoll. ;)

I like your questions, here are my answers:

I really love that final conflict between Lara and Natla. Once I created a thread about how I beat the game but left Natla alone. She escaped with Lara safe and sound :D

I didn't expect that at all

After the second time I kinda expected that she gets up again but I was unsure. I hesitated about her death.

3. What was your reaction to seeing her rise again? I liked that lol. When she said that Lara can't get rid of her so easily

I'm afraid I'd already played TRA when I first played TR1, so the fight didn't exactly come as a surprise to me. In fact, I don't really remember any of it at all, except being slightly surprised to discover that the fireball-hurtling creature flying towards me was in fact Natla, not just another winged mutant. I'm sure I enjoyed the fight, however.

As for when I first played TRA, that really did come as a bit of a surprise. I'd thought that Natla's plunge into the lava would be enough to finish her off, yet there she was, back to finish what she (or rather, what Lara) started. Of course, her falling and then getting back up again didn't have quite the same effect given that there was a cutscene in the middle, but I don't think it was entirely unexpected anyway.

For some reason, I found the ending vaguely disappointing, as was the case with the entire final section of TRA. Playing to the end of TR1 lead to a much greater sense of achievement for me.

Nope, it was quite unexpected for me. But when that music first came on, I knew something was up.

I carried on like normal when I shot her down the first time, but when I heard the epic, "You can't bump off me and my brood so easy, Lara!" I was like, "Oh yes, she's back for moar! :D"

Nah, I was pretty confident that I had killed her by then.

I just kept blasting her both times until she fell. BTW on my "Trigger bugs and Stuff" thread for TR1 I did a hack with the Position Editor so you can see Natla up close. Check it out:D:)
