I have always been a huge fan of Tomb Raider and have had many ideas for my own (film or novel) stories for years now. I have put them all down (with the history) and made up a plan for what would be an origin trilogy - ideas I had way before the 3rd TR film was announced. Please let me know what you all think of my overall ideas :)

Adventure 1
Lara Croft has always had a fanatical interest in archaeology - a passion she shared with her late father. Unlike Lord, however, Lara worked in the field in a rational and factual manner in order to reclaim the Croft's reputation, which was shattered by her father after he claimed his dead wife was still alive - a notion the community and Lara herself refused to believe. Years later, however, Lara's logic is put to the test upon discovering fragments of the legendary Philosopher's Stone. Soon, she is unkowingly trusted into an adventure like no other, pitted against ruthless enemies also driven by an equal interest in the stone.

It will introduce Lara to Larson and Pierre - one scene being a very loose adaptation of the Rome levels in TRC. It will show her motives and intentions clearly and the dangers surrounding her will force her to don the twin pistols. It will gradually show who she transformed into a Tomb Raider. Also the mummy/daddy issue will have a very minor role even though I mentioned it a far bit above!

Adventure 2
With an new outlook of the world, Lara sets off on what soon becomes a perilous journey across the globe in hopes of discovering the Lost City of Vilcabamba. Events take a dramatic turn, however, when a former tutor - Professor Werner Von Croy - disappears, involving Lara in a most treacherous conspiracy.

It will introduce the characters Takamoto, Nishomura and Anaya. It will also show a certain Jacqueline Natla, manipulating events behind the scenes.

Adventure 3
(Yet another) adaptation of Tomb Raider/Anniversary. I wouldn't do it but it does wrap up the other two stories nicely. Lara Croft seeks the truth behind the Scion artefact and the fall (an potential rise) of Atlantis.

I am now half way through the second and should, hopefully, soon be completely finished. I will post them in the near future if anyone's interested.
