Hey everyone!

I'm replaying this game right now and I must say it feels as good as the first time I've played it, about 10 years ago... :)

The reason that made me replay this game is interesting...
My 360 got the RRoD and I hooked up the PS2. Something compelled me to play the first Tomb Raider, it was really strange...

Turns out I should have done that earlier... I'm having a blast replaying it, and I'm going to do the same with chapter II, III and with TLR. :D

I'm currently doing the same... Although I have no idea whether i should replay it with my unlimited ammo from beating it previously or if I should just restart and have some more fun... I've been thinking of just restarting but I don't know. Well, if you want, you should keep us posted on your progress. Have fun playing!

In one of the games, if you restart after winning, the enemies are tougher, as well as you having all weapons. Sorry to be so vague.

It's always good to go back to the originals.

If you load your old save after finishing TR, then start a new game, you'll have infinite ammo and all the weapons. Dunno about harder enemies though.

Didn't know about the infinite ammo and weapons, thanks.
I started from scratch without cheating and the first levels were a breeze. Right now I've reached my favourite level, City of Khamoon. :)

I still remember the first time I saw that sphynx... I was younger and frightened, because it looked like some kind of phantasmagoric face from the distance and covered in darkness. How lame... :p

Palace Midas is other of those levels that brings back memories. :) I was really dumb back then. I remember having the three ingots but I didn't know I had to turn them into gold... I figured that out when out of boredom climbed into Midas hand. :hea:

The only level that gave me a bit of trouble so far was the Cistern... It took me a while to figure it out again, and I didn't use well the save crystals...

I always had a problem with all of Egypt. I love it, but it's hard

I just had to replay the original after playing TRAnniversary... Gosh, when the original was realesed it was a shock, those grafics where the best graphics ever... Now, it all seems so pre-historic... but its always a great game !!!

I'm not very fond of the crystals save system but they undoubtedly give an extra level of challenge to the game.Especially in the later levels.
Have fun!:)

Obelisk of Khamoon is the prettiest level!! Even for an old fossil of a game I'm still amazed looking down from the top of the obelisk...what a view!! Sooo prettyyy!! Level design trumps the next generation ones IMO...

Finnished the game! :D

It was a joy replaying it!:) The game has aged well in my opinion, and I think that gameplay wise it's still a landmark title.

The levels I most enjoyed 10 years ago were the Egipt ones. I still think they are the best nowadays.

I never liked Natla's Mines... After the beauty of the Egipt levels we go back to a dark and dank place with questionable layout. An abandoned mine with a huge skatepark?

I didn't like the Atlantis levels when I first played the game because everything looked so weird. Nowadays I actually liked it! :) It was a Gigeresque experience, but considering this was a lost civilization, I guess it's okay if it looks alien to us.

I guess it's time to replay Tomb Raider II! :)

Beating this first Tomb Raider got me curious about Tomb Raider Anniversary. I don't know if you consider it off topic or if I should post it on the TRA forum, but I guess It relates to the first game aswell.

I know that most people don't like it, but is it at least a satisfying game?
Just curious about it, since it's a remake of an excelent game...
I mean, how could they screw it up that bad?

Personally I liked TRA, I think its the best TR game CD have made, which is kinda ironic really as its based on a Core game, But TR1 is a far superior game in my opinion.

You can pick up TRA fairly cheaply now. So even if you don't like it you wont be out of pocket too much.

Have you played any of the CD TR games? And what platform do you play on? :)

TRA is great. If you enjoy the modern Crystal Dynamics games, you'll love this one.

Yes, its TR2 indeed

actually its both TR1 and TR2 for example the bats usually only need one shot from one pistol but after you beat the game you can attack theem with one pistol and they need two shots:ton:

I thought it was TR's 1, 2, and 3 As well? When i tried TR3 the enemies were tougher after winning same with TR1 and 2.

Indeed great memories, i myself did the exact same thing way back in the day when i first played TR1 all those years ago when i was 12yrs younger than i am now, with no worries in the world, no mortgage, debt, nothing, life was bliss.....Sorry forgot i was rambling there, now where was i, oh yes!..climbing on the hand of Midas was a real highlight for me, as i just wasn't expecting it(Should read up on my Greek Mythology), i suppose this is what Core was trying to achive, in turning Lara to gold gives us the clue. A real stand out moment for me.

Enjoy the rest of the game. :D

It's fun how the TR games throw in education too :p

Was that an actual sarcasm :p? I mean, the information may be pretty cool, but is about to be submitted to a huge desire for investigation (or wikipedia) to learn what lies beyond.
