I'm not, but I applaud you on taking the job. Today we have seen many shortages of nurses, for example like in California (http://www.californiachronicle.com/articles/view/110342) which can be severe to hospital institution daily operations and endanger the lives of the patients.

Here in Malaysia we have shortages of dentist ("http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Sunday/National/2594033/Article/index_html). Imagine that.

Imagine it ? It's bloody hard getting a dentist in the UK :p

I'm going to go for a nursing diploma hopefull when I've finished sixth form, which I start this September. Eventually I aim to move to America or Australia and do the job there :wve:

My boyfriends Mam is a nurse, too..and his Dad did a lot of nurse training with the police and then became a nursing home manager! I'm pretty lucky :p

Im going into my 2nd year of nursing and doing the degree. If you want to know which uni to go to i cant really help as i go to Chester uni (The best in the UK) so i suppose if you want to go there then you would need to think about moving into student acomodation.

BTW thought id let you know, the bursary you get for degree is alot less then diploma.
Your best going for dipoloma and then in last year changing it to degree. If your ok with money though dont bother :)

Ahh! LOL... is it true that if you go to Chester, you get placements around Wigan ?

Kind of depends on what nursing you go into, such as if you do adult you mainly go to wirral or liverpool.
You can go to Wigan, but they do ask where you live and if you are able to travel. I wouldnt be able to travel that far, so they wouldnt put me in that kind of placement :)

Also ive never been to actual chester uni, i study at the hospital close to my home. You can also do that with Chester uni to save you travelling.
