I was thinking about the mobile phone poll, and its true I could live with out my phone, unhappily, but I could. However there are two pieces of technology I would not be able to exsist without:

My hair straightner (seriously) and my USB flash disk. I could simply not function in todays society without these two. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/love4.gif

Is there another piece of technology aside from a phone that you just couldnt imagine functioning without? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

H0w about my computer? I couldn't even go 4 days without it.....I start to twitch and make some funny noises. It made me mental. Then I finilly got it back again and they took away the strait jacket. Thank God, it was hot here anyway, and the jacket gave me cramps.
So that is my happy ending of computer nostalgia.

We often say 'I couldn't live without...' as an expression, but we don't really mean it much of the time, because when it comes to the crunch we would live without whatever it is.

In this society it is difficult to live without many things, and recently for some months I did live without all of my possessions whilst being in wider society and it was terrible. No computer, no music, no games, no tv, no books, nothing. Our identities are closely tied up with our possessions and the lack or removal of them does hit at our very sense of self. However, living outside of wider society without all of my possessions (at a monastery) was no trouble at all. I was far too busy working hard during the day and far too tired at the end of the day to think about it.

No, there's not any. I can really be absolutely self-sufficient if necessary :D

I would have a very difficult time living without my computer. I already have been without it for a week and it was pretty tough I can tell you that.

Not a mobile phone fan to be honest, I love mine only because it is the TR sponsored Ericsson T20e, plays the TR theme and its the only reason I agreed to have a mobile in the first place. :D Victim? Yes!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

The only other pieces of technology I couldn't be without are my computer and my mp3 player!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/love4.gif

The computer, definitely! I think I'd totally crack if I didn't have my comp.

I see TV shows and movies about people stranded on islands, hell even Survivor and sometimes long to be there instead of watching it.
