I got to playing TR1 the other day (I've been itching to do so since I found this forum) and I realized that Lara makes the strangest sounds on it. It's like uh, ugh, er. I don't know why but I found it very amusing.

Go on, tell me I'm very weird. I can take it. :tea:

I find it funny, most of the time its "ugh" for me running into a wall or bumping my head while jumping.:cln:

The weirdest one for me is when she's climbing up. Its like "nnnght"

At least the sounds she makes sound like her voice actor unlike Tomb Raider 2, and maybe Tomb Raider 3

I love the TR1 sounds! They're so cute. Especially the "nnnght" sound that Phys mentioned!

I was in somewhere the other day and I heard this noise and I couldn't figure out what it was. I wish I could describe it but it was very weird sounding. I scanned the room all over before going in and I didn't see anything. I could not figure out for the life of me what it was. Finally, I noticed there was a pit in the floor and two crocs in it. I don't think I've ever heard a croc but I'm not sure they sound like they do in this game.

When Lara touches enemies, her body bends and she makes a similar grunt like when she hits walls while jumping. Croc has no particular sound, except for their footsteps.

The weirdest sound effect (for me) was the sound Lara made when she was shimmying. It sounded kinda sticky, like Lara had sticky tape on her fingertips :D

For me the weirdest sound was when she was pulling up, but I also enjoyed hearing Lara get hit by fireballs, it was like she was saying "ow" in some strange tone (which is one reason I keep Natla alive at the end :D)

i love her "Ooofph" when she hits walls and the hiccup noise she makes when she vaults up onto things :D

I think the "hiccup" is supposed to be like the "hut" sound acrobats make when performing a trick. It helps her tighten her stomach muscles.

lol I just got a picture in my head of Lara having to drink a glass of water after she does a lot of jumping.
