hmm what has been going on up there?! in 1980 mount st. helens erupted killing hundreds and damaging homes and buisness, etc. over 20 years later, it seems as though there might be another eruption!

ive been watching on the news the past week about the high seismic energy levels. ive heard scientists say that it will not erupt. and now it seems that it could erupt at any minuet! i hope people around the volcano have left their homes and have seeked shelter. i think something might happen before the beginning of next week.

what do you guys think?

Jess, m'dear http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif 1980 was more than 20 years ago. ;)

I've been hearing too that it looks like it's going to erupt any day now. I thought I had heard something about an eruption being likely now because of the earthquakes in California. Mt. St. Helen is on that same fault, isn't it?

I find volcanoes fascinating, I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about the activity of Mount St Helens!!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif What is the British media up to fgs??? Excellent piccy TRChik - very nice! ;)

When I was a kid we lived out in Indonesia, as some of you may know Indonesia is a very volcanic area of the world, I'm very priveleged to have visited Anak Krakatoa on a science field trip what an experience. Have also been inside a few dormant volcanoes, still have the rocks I collected from inside them. :D
