I am using a program called Vixy (www.vixy.net) to download videos from Youtube, the videos download but there is no sound when I open the movie file. How can I resolve this?

i use a firefox addon download helper (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006) and convert it with a program called super (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html). hope this helped

Just ensure you have selected the proper format/codec. Not the audio only :)

If the video posted on youtube is legal/homemade and not removed by Youtube administration then downloading it is legal as well.
