Ignoring the fact that it wouldn't have been possible back then, I think it would have added a lot of atmosphere to see rain, damp areas and maybe extra slippery surfaces. :D

Maybe the T. rex could appear out of a thunderstorm, like in Fantasia. :)

^ Uhh! that would have been a lot more spooky! It really has a night feeling, imagine playing that in TRA during night time and rainning?

Do you think they based the TrA lost valley cinematic on that??

Phlip

They based that on Core's. Core originally had the idea of the dinasour having a raptor clinging to it.

I'd rather see a hailstorm... They're common in high unstable regions like that, and also comes with mist, and mist is misterious :p.

LOL this game already scared the crap outta me when I was a kid, I think the rain would have been eerie however I don't think I would ever finish the game if that was in there I would be a little too creeped out. :p

I don't know rain seems rather out-of-place in an area like that I wouldn't like it.

I would have loved it:cln: anything creepy is always good in my book lol.

A thunderstorm would have suited the level perfectly, strong winds, trees blowing about the place, a battle against the elements but i'm getting ahead of myself here, it's a 12yr old game, not possible SoulReaver74(talks to myself), due to the systems development limitations, oh well, i can dream can't I.

I always presumed the Lost Valley was in a huge cave, so it wouldn't be raining in there would it? Although how there were waterfalls...

Rain would've made the whole experience spookier though I guess as it would be harder to see as if al that black 'mist' didn't make it hard enough.

Mental note: Should I ever find myself remaking The Lost Valley (pray that I don't, but you never know) make it rain! :p

You level edit? :D Well if you do, then yes, make it rain hard and have heavy spashed on the floor. :mis:

I never thought much about what the weather in TR1 could have been like, but yeah, rain or a thunderstorm in the Lost Valley would have been pretty awesome. :tmb:

Edit: And yes, I'd love to see the T. Rex appear out of a thunderstorm. :D

Uru, one of the Myst sequels, had a cool rain effect, mostly the sound and the way it changed some objects in the game.

It doesn't matter what shirt Lara would be wearing since she wouldn't have known it was going to rain.

I never thought the Lost valley was in a cave, I doubt it would be that lush if it was. :p I really like that idea though, it would have been pretty cool, especially at the time of it's release! :tmb: I think having a sky texture would be the first step forward however. :)

nah that'd be a bit too much.
into the valley if it was a cave silly!

Well rain would be falling from everywhere, not just certain areas.
