Lawrence Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother's fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline has come to investigate.

As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. Now, if he has any chance at ending the slaughter and protecting the woman he has grown to love, Talbot must destroy the vicious creature in the woods surrounding Blackmoor. But as he hunts for the nightmarish beast, a simple man with a tortured past will uncover a primal side to himself, one he never imagined existed.

I plan on seeing this film purely because Emily Blunt is in it who I think is an amazing actress!

The original movie is one of my favourite werewolf movies, so naturally i was worried when a remake but announced, but this looks like it could be as good as Francis ford coppellas "Dracula"

Emily blunt? is she that bint out of The devil wears prada?

Croft, Lara

Yes. She was also in the Young Victoria where I thought she was amazing.

It does like excellent, i've been following this since 2007, im glad they have kept the basic appearance of the Wolfman this same, im a bit annoyed about the CGI and i wish they used prosthetics but it could be worse.

Apparently there are 3 werewolves in this Remake instead of two as in the original.

I have always had an issue with CGI anyways, me and my brother were talking about it the other day. Older films can be much creepier due to them using prosthetics and animatronics. Oh well, GCI is here to stay it appears. But other than that it looks like an excellent film with great actors.:tmb:

It looks as tho the first Werewolf is CGI and then the two Wolfmen are Prosthetics and makeup which is excellent.

Yeah i find CGI takes the fear away, look at the tranformation scenes in The Howling and American werewolf in london, they are fantastic and have no CGI! then we have something like Van Helsing which is ALL the CGI and it looks rubbish.

It's a Classic traditional Werewolf movie, exactly what the Genre needed to get it started up again!

Yeah it is, the orginal was one of the first ever werewolf movies along with "The Werewolf of London"

Here is the trailer for the original.

Even a man who is pure of heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the Autumn moon is bright.

I am not enjoying this CGI at all... with Rick Baker on board they should have let him create the transformation effects himself with prosthetics there is NO reason to use ANY CGI.

I could spit blood.

At least the film is going to be rated R, thats at least something.

It looks amazing. I don't really like CGI either. I love when they use costumes and props, like Del Toro does with Hellboy. But the movie still looks ace. :tmb:

It looks stunning.. perhaps a little bit too stunning im waiting to see orcs and elves appear!

American werewolf in London is my 3rd favourite werewolf movie, Howling being 1st and Dog soldiers being second. Whilst there are some terrifying moments in AWIL the actual werewolf is a big let down.

I liked The Howling & Dog Soldiers but I think the transformation scene in An American Werewolf is still stunning today, along with the best wolf howl ever!:D

I loved the design of the werewolves, four legged dogs don't scare me, or in American Werewolf in London case aggressive badgers.
