This trailer has just been released, the DLC coming out on October 29th. Is anyone planning on buying this it?

I was slightly dissapointed with The Lost and the Damned. Hopefully the missions in this will have more variety.

I am going to delete TLAD from my HDD and buy the Episodes From Liberty City disc. I would much rather have them in disc form. This trailer has got my interest. It looks loooooooaaaads better than TLAD.

Looks sooo much better than The Lost and Damned (which I've still yet to force myself to finish). Bet the driving is just as crap though :(

:mad: The driving is great in GTA 4, one of the best improvements imo.:p

It does take a bit of getting used to tho, I hated it at first.

Apart from the visuals being better, which they didn't need to be, there were no improvements in GTAIV for me (in comparison to the likes of San Andreas), quite the opposite in fact :(

I despise GTA4, but that really is a good trailer. Looks like the polar opposite of the depressing blandness that the original game sported.

Doesn't it just. Gone is that wishy-washy grey and monotonous feeling GTAIV seemed to have in spades. The trailer for Ballad reminds me of Vice City, which is a good thing in my book :D

This is GTA, there are only 5 or so different missions... thats why I gave up on this game years ago :hea:

I like the more colourful feel to this dlc I might pick it up if it comes to disc :)

All I can say is WOW! :eek:
This trailer is amazing, it looks far more appealing than GTA IV or The Lost and Damned! The whole nightclub scene really grabs me! :tmb:

I was really disappointed in GTA IV when I couldn't get into the nightclub, it's that sort of thing that still makes San Andreas my favourite Grand Theft Auto game, it just seems to top GTA IV in most ways, hopefully this game will be a improvement! It's nice to see that they are using some of the great idea San Andreas had and using them again. :)
The missions shown in the trailer look great, the chopper picking up the train looks like one superb mission. And the base jumping from the tower with all the choppers! :eek:

BTW did anyone else notice Niko at the end? :p

It does like one heck of a great game, hopefully it's as good as it looks! Shame it is an exclusive.

I can't honestly say I noticed that, I'll have to have a look again! :D
No, I was meaning at around 1:10 into the trailer Tony is talking to someone with their back to the camera and he bears a definite resemblance to Niko. :)

Yeah I definitley noticed it, I think that bit is actually in main game aswell.

just a question to those who played TLAD, how does the startup work? is it a seperate game you choose when turn on the system or is there a now a menu for GTA4? and about the trailer, it looks cool, but i can do without :)

When you first download TLAD and start up GTAIV, the game immediately gives you an option to play TLAD before it loads the main game. Yep, it loads the last save you played - if that was TLAD, then that'll load from startup :)

It's also annoying, the ad keeps playing on every gametrailer video I watch. I mean this looks good and all, but couldn't they have used less annoying music?

I like the melody - but it gets annoying because it's always the same. I think this melody will be played during the end cutscene or the credits of BOGT. ;)
