View Full Version : is there a way to solve this problem on my PS3? (problem with update)

I recently just bought Uncharted, before I put it in my PS3, my PS3 told me that a firmware update is required and I downloaded the update. Uncharted worked fine until 'Going Underground', the game keeps freezing and I have read that the firmware update may have caused this, what can I do to prevent the freezing? I really want to fix this, this is my first play-through of Uncharted and I really want to progress through the game....

That's strange. It was the other way around for me. It sometimes froze, but after the trophy patch I haven't had any freezing at all.

I don't know how to fix it, I'm afraid...
Maybe delete the patch and reinstall it?

Yeah that is weird...My Uncharted only ever froze once near the end of the game but never had any problems after the patch.

actually, I had a disk before of Uncharted, the same thing happened so I went a traded it in for another one, so this is my brand new copy :(

If it's FW3.00, then you aren't the only one, so you might need to wait until they bring out a 3.01 :o

After giving us a nice firmware update roughly 24hrs ago, it looks like the latest firmware is causing some problems for PS3 gamers. It appears that the latest firmware update is causing a couple games to freeze up on players. One of the biggest games being inflicted by this freezing bug is Uncharted. Numerous forum goers on GameFaqs are complaining about the freezing issue. There have also been a few reports of the UFC and Bioshock getting similar symptoms.

Whether this is just limited to Uncharted isn’t known, but it could very well cause some minor problems to other titles, too. Let's hope Sony finds a cure for this minor inconvenience soon.

Just wait- Sony should have an update for the patch soon- within the week probably.

well, I've managed to bypass the parts where it freezes. I'm on chapter 22 now and so far, nothing has gone wrong! :D
