hey everyone. this discussion is open to all gamers.
has anyone experienced a bad birthday or christmas because there console has broken.
i would love to hear about your unfortunate events!
these are my stories

*christmas 2007!
i got all of the sims 2 games that had ever come out since then for the computer. i was soooooooo happy. as soon as i put the games in my computer i started to create a family. after that i started to decorate the house with christmas items (with the sims 2 expansion packs) when i was all done and proud of myself for creating a beautiful home and a well decorated one at that to, i started playing. 10 minutes later my pc froze completley!!!!!!!!
i restarted my computer and i got a blue screen in front of me! i was shock so i called up my pc maker and he said that i probebly busted my pc's mother board!!!!! i was without it all of the christmas holidays!

*my birthday may 3rd 2008!
my pc broke down again!!!! without my pc for 1 week or 2

*my birthday may 3rd 2009!
i bought the godfather 2 for my ps3. i played it for 2 hours straight and it stopped working. i was saying oh :cen: hear we go AGAIN!!!! i restarted it and it didnt load up at all. the ps3 turned on and the home page menu opened up which allowed me to play music and videos. but my disc reader stopped working! i was with out it until last saturday!

a few days later was my term break ( i go to school ) i bought fallout 3 for the xbox 360. on the 3rd day of my 2 week holidays, it broke down. i was without it for 4 weeks.

2 days later my computer broke down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really sorry about those things... :(

All that has happened to me was my PC broke, like you, when I was going to play the sims 2 when it first came out.

And my PS2 once died, it was the phat PS2 from launch, it died a couple years back when I was going to play GTA III. I replaced that with a slim for my birthday and it lasted until last year when I traded it in for a 360, but then the 360 was playing up on me, it was only a month old when I traded it in towards a PS3.

omg you just reminded me!!!! my ps2 phat died aswell when i was playing lego star wars last year. :D but to be honest i didnt really care that it died because i had my ps3 and 360 and pc! :ton:

My PS2 died when I first bought it, I haven't even played any game yet! :cen: I just got home, switched it on, main menu pop up and suddenly it turns blank. Apparently there's a power surge at that moment causing my PS2 to bite the dust. Luckily it's still under warranty so I got a new one with an adaptor and it never broke down since. :)

My old desktop pc has a habit of shutting down unannounced. I tried everything like giving it extra fan, RAM memory, etc. Finally I just kicked it broken and leave it be. :cen:I use laptop since and haven't a problem for 2 years now. :)

I sat on my friends xbox at his birthday party once. It wouldnt turn on, so I panicked, and smacked it. Then it worked again.

My PS2 once stopped reading disks, when I wanted to continue my TR II game.http://i32.tinypic.com/335goq9.jpg

Changed from horizontal to vertical position and now it works :o

And my DS is starting to act crazy, she has a crack on the fold, MY SISTER WANTS TO PLAY ANIMAL CROSSING http://i32.tinypic.com/335goq9.jpg

And (off topic) I lost my TR I Game (kill me now :pi:)

Well, a few months after getting my PS3 there where laser problems. It still played games but it was still a problem and I got it replaced. The new one's been perfect. ^_^

I think the closest thing I can remember is after 60 hours game time, and countless tries at the last boss battle in Final Fantasy 10, I finally killed him and right when the ending fmv started my PS2 froze.

I wanted to replay the classic TR's & Tekken games because I felt like revisiting my childhood memories.

Only to find that my PS2 would no longer read damn PS1 disks. Got myself a cheap slim to replace it though looking back maybe all it needed was the lens cleaning.

jcmp03051994, you are very unlucky........... My PSX is busted since 5 years ago and plays only 3 games..... I love it too much to throw it away..... I'm gonna keep it till it dies completely.......

I'm thankful I've yet to experience a console dying on me.

My 360 broke the day i broke up from college for the summer last year! :mad: That was just pure evil.

Anyways i was stuck playing my wii for the week or so it was gone. :p

Gosh, sorry to hear about that jcmp03051994.:( My PC's been giving me blue screens for about a week and what's worse is that it was upgraded just about a month ago so I've been and still am without a PC, I have to use my dad's laptop which can't even play video games.:mad: Still yet to figure out what's wrong with it.:confused:

^^ maybe its your motherboard or graphics card. i hope it comes back to normal soon :) come to think of it i am quiet unlucky! :( but thank god all of my consoles are all working the way they should!) but my uncharted drakes fortune game on ps3 aint working anymore! :( (and i love that game)
