hey everyone!
my favorite game would have to be tomb raider, i chose this because it was the first game i had ever played, (when i was 3 :D) and the most appealing set of games ever to have been created imo.
so, whats your favorite game and why? ;)
I don't think I can choose one game as my absolute favourite - I love so many different games for many different reasons.
The game that I think I've played the most, though, is TR4. Amazing game.
My favorite game ever is Tomb Raider 4. Why? Hmm
Everything about it is just perfect! The levels, the design, the atmosphere, the story, the music, the length, etc. Just the perfect game for me! :tmb:

It's pretty much the same for me, except instead of TR4 it's TR1 for me.:)
I don't have an absolute favorite game but when I am asked this question I always say Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for the Genesis because it was the game that made me a gamer.

Well, Tomb Raider is right up there; of course.
After that Im quite a fan of Bioware's games; particuarly Mass Effect and Jade Empire. Possibly because both games have so much depth to their stories and characters, those games are practially like playing an amazing movie. :D
lol, Tomb Raider of course :D
Out of the series though, my favorite would have to be The Last Revelation :)
Followed by AOD.. :D
Why?
Because I am in love with Lara and Tomb Raider 1 was the first game I ever played :D
the original tomb raider
reasons:
1. it has, to this day, absolutely unique graphics and level design. it's pixelated look and blocky geometry, not only contributed to a characteristic gameplay that many other games tried to copy (without reaching tr's quality)
it also underlined a classic, yet still beautiful art-direction.
2. there was a mature attitude throughout the whole adventure, even though there wasn't much story behind it. a pure result of challenging puzzles (which often were inspired by the human history and our most ancient myths and fears) in exotic environments that spread a constant sense of a serious, uneasy atmosphere, whilst always staying believable and never overdoing it
3. lara croft had her best haircut back then. with an asian touch to it.
Agh.. so many to choose. I love TR, FF and MGS and all of them have some amazing games.
If I were to remain true to Tomb Raider, I'd have to choose Tomb Raider 2. It was my first TR game I played and it made me fall in love with the series.

I really like TR2 aswell, that game has so much atmosphere and attitude!

One of the, if not the scariest/most mysterious tr game in my opinion. Absolutely loved Venice at night. The game screams elegance.

My favourite is final fantasy 8, followed by 9 and 7 joint second. :)
I can't choose between TR1 and FF7.
The amount of times I've spent on those games over the last 13 years is mad. I love them to pieces and would gladly replay them through from start to finish any day.

Classic tr games (TR2) and classic Sonic games(Sonic 3 & Knuckles). My Ying and Yang.
One satisfy my need for exploration and discovery while the other satisfy my sense of adventure and speed.
Sonic 3 and Knuckles is my first Sonic games, I'm a bit dissapointed with Sonic 1 and 2 (Tails can't even fly!). This game got me finish it completely getting all the Chaos and Super Chaos Emeralds, and when Sonic became Super Sonic that's when I knew this game is the one.
TR2 is not my first tr game. I played TR4, TR5, TR3 and later stumble on TR2 and TR1 during my pre-puberty years lol. TR2 charm my heart the moment I started the game in the great wall. Something about it just hits the right notes, be it the level of difficulty, sense of exploratioon, volumes of enemies/boss battles and the story is jsut captivating.
Fine if I have to choose one, I would go with TR2. :p If I were a 10 year old boy, I'd probably choose Sonic. But once I've discovered the thrill of exploration in tr, you just can't go back. You just can't. That's why I'm ****ed off with CD sometimes, they just didn't grasp the magical aspect of what distinguished tr from the rest of other games in the industry.
Well i fable 1,2 and tr4,6 and silent hill 3,2,1,5,4 xD

Lol! I can honestly say that she never really appealed to me sexually in TR2 :p
But it was very exciting getting a costume change, and the cutscene with the monk was funny :D
This is a tough one but i think Saints Row 2 would be the one for me
Because you make the person you want to play as and you can go around throwing people in rivers its great!! :yah:

I pity the monk, he died after talking to Lara. But at least the last thing he saw was Lara naked lmao!! Then he went to heaven.:D

Tomb Raider - before playing TR I had only played 2D games so playing a adventure game in 3D was a once in a lifetime experience.
Resident evil - before playing RE I thought that only liked TR but RE change all that - I just loved how scary it was.
Resident evil 4 - This is the perfect game for me - scary, mature, great bossfights and of course a sexy main character - Leon :cln:

My favourite game?
This. Always will be. (http://i28.tinypic.com/14bhzl3.jpg)
Why? It does everything right. It looks great, sounds great, has a great battle system, great story, great characters and a crapload of things to do besides murderizing monsters! And it's long, too! :D
I have so many but the ones that instantly spring to mind are:
Tomb Raider II (I adore most of games in the series)
Ico
Shadow of the Colossus
Oblivion
Soul Reaver
Final Fantasy VII (I adore most of games in the series)
There are a few more.:D

Why? Because it was something special to explore such a huge world back in 1998. For me OOT will always be the game of games. Truly a masterpiece and a milestone in videogame history. The other 3D Zelda's are great too (especially TP in my opinion) but OOT is the one that changed things and introduced a huge world in 3D with temples, waterfalls, hidden caverns, villages..etc. The atmosphere was great (especially in the Shadow Temple, Forest Temple and Spirit Temple), the puzzles where briljant (Water Temple any one?) and there was so much to do in the world of Hyrule. The first time i defeated Queen Gohma and saw Hyrule Field, i was overwhelmed. Such an epic game with tons of great moments. Best game ever in my opinion!

Tomb Raider Anniversary - i thought it was excellent - graphics, moves, Lara herself, level design and puzzles were brilliant. Everything i epected from my favourite game series. To be honest i like Legend and Underworld just as much for the same reasons.
Mine's complicated::o
The overall best game I've ever played:
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
My personal favorite game:
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
And the series that I know has the potential to be best game I've ever played:
Tomb Raider
Grand Theft Auto IV, definatley. to me, its just very fun and original. the driving, unarmed combat, the shooting, and the cities aer just ver vivid and realistic; which i love.
although, its not the game ive played the most hours on.
da tomb raider!

Tomb Raider III.
Great visuals, a fantastic soundtrack, varied AI, a techinical achievement, incredible level design, and everything in between. Definitely my favourite game ever, and it has been for some time. And with games becoming, in my opinion, worse and worse, I don't suppose that'll ever change.

Not sure. Perhaps TR3. It's my favorite Tomb Raider game, it's actually the only TR game that is completely un-linear and the game has such an unique atmosphere and the levels are beautiful. :D
Got a ton of favourites to pick from so Ill name a few from series I like.
Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness I love in the TR series the most, the Lara attitude is the best, controls are buggy but Im used to it somewhat.
Fable 2 is my favourite RPG game on 360, loads to do, nice graphics and lots of ways to upgrade the character.
Goldeneye on 64 will always be my favourite ever game, love the challenge of each level on 00 Agent.
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is my favourite GTA game, loads of good missions, stuff to do, vehicles to drive.

I can't pick just one. I have to say TR2 and Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction/Quest for Booty.
TR2 because well do I really have to explain?
R&CFTOD/QFB because it's just awesome, I love platformers, it is very humorous, action packed with awesome weapons. The story is amazing and the controls are very fluid.
Final Fantasy VI and IX
I can't choose just one, those 2 games completely changed my life. I learned so much from them.

Always has been and always will be The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It attempts so much more than its competition, succeeds at most of it, and the iffy parts can be smoothed out by player-made mods.
Lara's Nemesis
11-09-09, 07:13
Tomb Raider 1 & 2
Final Fantasy 7
Zelda Ocarina of Time
GTA 1
Manic Miner
Morrowind
Tomb Raider III.
Great visuals, a fantastic soundtrack, varied AI, a techinical achievement, incredible level design, and everything in between. Definitely my favourite game ever, and it has been for some time. And with games becoming, in my opinion, worse and worse, I don't suppose that'll ever change.

*puts finger on chin and nods in a agreement with da tomb raider! and Super Badnik*
TR3 was my first love in videogames. It was the first Tomb Raider I ever owned and to this day I'm still blown away by it. It's smart - a problem I find with many games today is that they're just not smart. They're usually just two hours of mindless flash-bang-action and then the credits roll. Tomb Raider III was a real adventure - long, challenging and visually stunning (and even though more than a decade old, some of the locations in it still make me stop and go Woah! - places that I could never recreate with TRLE). Of all the TRs, III is definitely the hardest and most non-linear. I can't say enough good things about it. I even love the minimalist plot. The plot doesn't use a tonne of cutscenes to unfold the plot - it unfolds during gameplay mostly which is how a good videogame plot should be.
Other honourable mentions must go to;
The entire Mortal Kombat series
Banjo Kazooie/Banjo Tooie (but not Nuts and Bolts)
No One Lives For Ever 1 & 2
Super Mario 64 and Sunshine
I can't choose between TR2 and Crash Bandicoot 2 :pi:
Minty Mouth
11-09-09, 13:11
Final Fantasy X/X-2
Epic.

There is really no way that I could choose one from the many hundreds of games that I have played in my lifetime. As I was playing certain games I would often state that I thought the game was the best, but later I would change my mind. I could give a list of my all-time favorites in no particular order however.
Azrael's Tear
Thief
Thief 2
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Wolfenstein:Spear of Destiny
Descent
Descent 2
Tomb Raider
Morrowind
Heroes of Might and Magic 2
Diablo
Mechwarrior 2
Prince of Persia (original DOS game)
Baldurs Gate
Neverwinter Nights
Under Fire
Many games.
But I will say TR Legend, Anniversary & Underworld because of the great graphics, realistic enviroments and Lara, & acrobatics :D:D:D
