Blackberry. You can't beat real, physical buttons on a device.

This. Although I'd never opt for any of them.

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 which has a full keyboard and Windows Mobile, thus it has tons of apps and it's very customizable.

Older people? My father is annoyed by the small buttons, and I'm sure he would be extremely annoyed by iphone. Mitch has iPod touch and both of us curse at the small touch buttons when trying to type something (when using msn or the web browser).

Oh and Mitch's old phone's touchpad doesnt work anymore. That's just after a year.

I've got the Blackberry below. The only thing it is good for is emails, calls and SMS's. Internet browsing is a reeeal chore.

I'd consider getting an iPhone but I don't want to be forced to use iTunes. Plus the contract costs a bomb.

What is the poll for? To determine what we own, what we want to own, or which we think is better?

Neither, I dislike both of those options.

I prefer WinMo phones since I have lots of software that is compatible with it. No need to buy "apps" when I can use my own software. Right now I have a Samsung Omnia which runs Windows Mobile 6.1 with some fancy "Touchwiz" interface on top of it that makes it very touch-friendly. Also the 5.0MP camera puts iPhone to shame.

My Dad had a "WinMo" phone for a little while, and it was appalling (this was a few years ago though). He like basic phones as it is, but this one was so overly complicated he had to get a new one. You have to press five different keys to lock the thing! I must admit I've been put off them since then, but I'd probably have a look at them out of curiosity now. I just love playing with the Blackberry Bold though, it's so easy to use. If I could afford it (or if my business let me have one) I would have one of those.

As far as being complicated, it does have some to do with the handset provider. In this case, Samsung has done a great job of making basic functions (you hold the "end key" to lock the phone for example :p) very intuitive and simple.

Customisation doesn't bother me with the Bold, because it's all right there when it's turned on. It's so intuitive that I don't want to play with it much, I just want to use it.

You're probably right about the Windows Mobies though.

An Opera one, I forget the proper name for it. It's pretty solid now it's been updated a couple of times.

Mine uses Opera 9, which is very cool since it can render full pages as well as flash and whatever else you'd expect it to.

It's got an awesome zoomed out mode, where you can hover around the screen you're looking at them zoom in on a particular part of it. It's great for looking at this forum.

I've started using it when he's watching football. It's really bloody easy with that browser. We even use Google Maps on it as a substitute for a sat nav!

I do'nt have either.

The iPhone looks nice with the touch screen and all, But after the novelty wears off, Accidentaly touching wrong buttons would probbably get annoying, So maybe Physical buttons are best especialy for Fat Fingered people :p .
However, Both of them are pretty much unaffordable without a contract, (Which still is'nt cheap) so neither for me.

I have an iPod touch with the same interface, and accidentally tapping the wrong buttons happens surprisingly little. The system is usually pretty good at figuring out what you want. Your mileage may vary, of course, but I'm going to buy an iPhone soon.

iPhone when it comes to touch screen technology and all around function. In fact I'm online right now with my iPod touch which runs on the same technology and I really find nothing wrong with it and have nothing but love for it. But I agree with others when they say that you can't beat physical buttons to push but Blackberry's have terrible flaws, especially on the Storm. Everyone I know that has the Storm hates it and says it's a piece of crap but luckily for some, the Storm 2 for Verizon is coming out soon. Now if AT&T would stop being little contract hogs with Apple, Verizon could actually GET iPhones.
