I cant wait for this Mod and it seems this Game will come Very Soon, then i will play BM while continuing on with HL2 + Eps. :cln:
*jaw drops* I had zero idea that this existed. I absolutely love the first game, way more than HL2, so this is mind blowing for me.

Looks amazing :cln:
Unfortunately I don't have any of the games needed to play it for my PC. :(
This looks phenomenal. Shame I don't play any PC games other than The Sims :p.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the games needed to play it for my PC. :(If you have a Friend that has Half Life 2 on Steam, that Person is allowed to give you HL2 and Episode 1 for Free i believe.

I'm glad they're doing this. It wasn't so much the graphics that put me off Half Life 1 as the terrible AI.
AGAGAGAGA!!! :jmp:
Never heard of this before, this is my cure to not wanting to play HL1. :p

Isn't it such amazing. I have been following it for quite a while and I love it.
I cant wait for the game any longer! It is bloody brilliant.
I never played the first Half-Life (only a demo)
But I've played other games related to it.
This just looks so amazing though! :D
I hope that'll be able to run on a demo of a valve game.

I dont think you are going to need to have Half Life 2 because it is a Stand Alone game. All you will need is a Source Engine game, which is most games, and some are very cheap. :)
Ok, but I meant a demo of game. Such as a demo of portal.

There is a chance. Maybe it BMS see's any sight of the Source Engine it will run the game. :)
They clearly state you must have 1 of the Full Games to play the Mod.

No they do not. I have read what it says on the official website. ;)
But there will be a chance that a demo will not work.
I looked through the contents of the portal demo through GCf explorer and it looks like the only thing missing are a few level maps. All character models, sound effects, voices, and music were present though.

Hello Black Mesa fans!
We come to you once again with an update. It's now the end of 2009, and we know many of you have literally counted the days down until this fateful month. We are floored by the level of support you have given us and are very excited we're so close to reaching our goal.
Unfortunately, to our great disappointment, Black Mesa will not make a 2009 release.
Cynics may now rejoice, bets may be collected, and I think a mod team member has to eat his shoe, but we hope our loyal fans will forgive us and realize that the delay will translate into a better final product that's (hopefully) more easily available to everyone.
Once again we apologize for what has to be very disappointing news. We placed a 2009 deadline on ourselves to motivate us and bring this 6 year project to a close. And while we didn't quite make it, we have come very close, and you can expect a complete, polished game to hit your hard drives in the near future. We'll be sure and update if anything changes. Until then, hang tight, it's coming!
