I just found this in a site:

The device of the flexible display allows a new concept in notebook design growing out of the traditional bookformed laptop into unfurling and convolving portable computer.

By virtue of the OLED-Display technology and a multi touch screen the utility of a laptop computer with its weight of a mini-notebook and screen size of 13 inch easily transforms into the graphics tablet, which with its 17-inch flat screen can be also used as a primary monitor.

On top of everything else all computer utilities from power supply through the holding belt to an interactive pen are integrated in Rolltop. This is really an all-in-one gadget.

Yea, looks impressive, for a laptop that is. :p

I'll stick to the desktops though. I like them much better because of their design and functionality. :) Ever try to replace parts in a laptop?

Who designed the thing? :vlol:

I mean, it sounds cool, but what's so appealing about it? Not a lot. And the outside look is a part of that appeal. :p

Oldie. The idea is kay but it's not that practically useful. Regular netbooks are sexier

Nor do I. Louis Vuitton would have a fit if that was the final design.

This would actually be some amazing technology if it was made, imo. The multipurpose factor is great too, the design is well thought-out because the tower has many features... but not patricularly attractive.

I don't really like the tube-based design, since I don't think it would be that much more handy than a laptop... but you have to give it to them for designing a rolled computer with a screen!

If they would release it, I wouldn't buy it. I like the laptops from THESE days.

I was hoping it to get very technical, and for gaming obviously not :( Me not buy, ever! lol.
Though I liked the animation.

*Waits for EscondeR's technical opinion.*

They've been working on these thin rollable displays for over a decade. They even proposed eventually replacing newspapers. Each day you rollable or foldable display would download the latest news.

For an example of how these displays could be used, check out the movie Red Planet. Display in a tube, transparent, light sensitive, and touch screen. Just pull it out and use it.

I think he was joking. You need to stop being so serious all the time.

Not a hot Laptop. I would like one but change the design. GOD :whi:.
