Not at all. I was shocked when I heard but I was never a big fan.

Isn't this thread kind of suited for open chat though?

Not to mention there's already an existing MJ thread, created by moi :wve:.

He's still alive in our hearts. His music videos will always be there, even though MJ may not be.

I wasn't a huge fan, but he did have great music.

Never gave a toss for him. Didn't listen to his music or know and like him personally. Of course my condolences to his fans and family.

I find amusing how currently if you ask someone about him, they'll give a damn. Most of the people out there.
But when he died, everyone suddenly loved him... hypocrisy?

Definitely not everyone, I'm sure of that. I know perfectly that there are so many loyal fans too... but at least in my experience I've noticed that :pi:

I had respect for the guy, but I wasn't a big fan. But he is an icon, and as much as I may not miss him, his music's out there, so all's good. :)

Dying's the best career move a musician can make.

I don't miss someone I never met. I didn't like him much anyway, but I like a few of his songs.

The fad pretty much died out shortly after he did so I'm a little disappointed to not have collected anything when I had the chance.

So-so. The old classics were his best songs anyway.

TBH, no.
I'd never really followed his life, he wasn't really doing anything remarkable to me.

I do miss him, even if I didn't know him personally. It's weird after being a fan since I was a kid and now knowing he's not around anymore. There's never going to be another like him in our lifetime.

It doesn't make much of a difference to me, I can still enjoy his music whether he's dead or alive x x

I have been a fan since my childhood so yes I do miss him... Michael had a hard life but he's a true legend and will live on forever. "I want you back"

Never really liked him, but I wont say he was anything but a good artist just because his music far from appealed to me.

Yes, especially since I've been a fan of his music, ever since I can remember. A truly misunderstood and misinterpreted human being.

Yes. I wish he had had the chance to perform his concert, which from the 'This is it' film would have been absolutely amazing. I miss him on the basis that he never got to see his comeback through. His music lives on.

People like Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley have made a big contribution to world's music, that's for sure.

No I don't.

Yeah like most people I was shocked when he died even though I wasnt a fan, but like someone said above me 'life goes on' we all have to move on at some point.

The family are just 'milking' his death to promote themselves, think Janet would get on X Factor if he hadnt had died? ;)

Nowadays I listen and dance to some of his songs.

Yes of course I still miss him!

You don't have to know someone personally to miss him/her when they are gone. Missing is to know something or someone is gone and wanting it back. It doesn't mean you have to cry all day about the thing or person you miss. Knowing he will never perform again and that he can never be replaced makes me sad. Thinking about how he died makes me sad too. When everybody was thinking he was coming back, he was actually slipping away. So yes, I miss him!

Yes, especially since I've been a fan of his music, ever since I can remember. A truly misunderstood and misinterpreted human being.

This, especially the part in bold. :(

I can't belive that he's gone and can honestly say he crosses my mind atleast a few times every day, the thing that gets me is seeing his Music Videos and stuff about him on TV all the time...and realising he isn't even here with us anymore, yet we see and hear him almost every day.

That, and I had tickets to see him live in London this coming February, a once in a lifetime event that sadly never happened.

R.I.P x

I'm not a fan of his music at all, I frankly don't get why his music is so hugely popular, I like a few of his songs but his voice sometimes gets on my nerves... I don't miss him because even when he was alive and kicking, it just didn't really matter.

I'm sorry he died though and may he rest in peace, and I can't even imagine how hard it must have been for his loyal fans and family
