One of the best movies of the last nine years would definitely have to be The Dark Knight for me. That's the one that immediately comes to mind.

For me, I think this year has been dissapointing to be honest. I did like Gran Torino, Watchmen, The Orphan..

EDIT : Oh from 2000 - 2009? I'll have to have a good think about that one later, there's lots.

Pan's Labyrinth and Up. These are the only two that really stick with me, they both pull on my heart strings.
